  1. If he’s exonerated, I will have to cross that bridge if we get there. As it stands he’s been credibly accused, if MLB clears him and he remains with the team it’s something I’ll have to live with. He is still a shitbag either way. Whether or not I choose to still follow this team afterwards is an unknown.
  2. Sox fans might need therapy for the collective emotional turmoil this sad sack organisation has put us through year after year, but that anger and bitterness is well earned.
  3. For once I actually agree with Ozzie. Has the world come to an end?
  4. I don’t really care how much money the Sox end up on the hook for, I never want to see him in uniform, in the dugout, or around the team. They absolutely should cut ties with him as soon as it’s feasibly possible. If he does pitch for this team it’s going to be really hard for me not to cut ties with them. TLR nearly broke my fandom, this very well could finish the job of ending it.
  5. Suspended w/o pay until released and to never put on a Sox uniform.
  6. And Chicago sports journalism won't ask tough follow ups.
  7. How about we launch the entire organisation into the sun? Hahn is enmeshed in the disfunction, but he’s the tip of the iceberg.
  8. Because of course they are. Shocked this isn't a Bob tweet to deflect from the dumpster fire...
  9. Probably true, but I can't help but feel like someone messed up by not doing due diligence. They really burned us with TLR and it's really hard to take their statements in good faith.
  10. If they were ready to make a contract offer, it feels like something a thorough vetting should reveal, even if the league can't say anything officially. The Sox not knowing, or not catching wind of this just doesn't pass the smell test for me.
  11. Yeah, they burned all benefit of the doubt with that debacle, they get zero from me here.
  12. Did they not know or did they simply choose to ignore it until it became public? I imagine the investigation was hush hush, but how were teams not made aware? Or unable to find this out beforehand?
  13. Feeling very last straw over here. This might just be the breaking point if he isn't immediately released.
  14. We really need to stop framing it as “can” or “can not” afford. It’s a choice. They choose to hard cap themselves. The choose not to find ways to make additions. It is a choice, and a poor one, not to find a way to add depth pieces; one that seems to bite them in the ass every year yet here we are again.
  15. If he could draw a walk, or steal a base, then perhaps.
  16. It’s a weird sort of laissez faire model of profiting whilst investing as little as possible in areas that would/could yield a greater profit. They don’t want to spend beyond X even if there is greater ROI to be had. If winning happens great, as long it looks like they tried to compete while not hurting the bottom line they are content.
  17. If they really thought Benintendi would boost sales…??‍♀️??‍♀️
