  1. Meanwhile in Chicago…
  2. Hahaha f*** no!
  3. Cease is about the only sure thing in that rotation. They are still worse on paper than 2021, with plenty of question marks and holes remaining. That 2021 hot first half feels much more like the outlier than any real indicator of what to expect entering 2023. If, *if* everything breaks right, sure, they could win 90. But that's a lot of If's. Too many to put any real expectations on for me.
  4. Hopefully by not being anywhere around this team, but I'm not holding my breath.
  5. Crochet had TJ in early April last year. I wouldn't expect him to be ready on opening day, but I don't think we've heard anything recently about where he is in his recovery.
  6. Largely the same roster, minus Abreu, Rodon, and Hendriks...
  7. I'm sure once the players take the field I will shift towards a similar position. But when the loses pile up from the same shitty play, and the lack of depth rears its ugly head the apathy will set in fast. I don't know if it's ever been so easy for me to temper my own expectations at the dawn of a new season than after this winter.
  8. I love that a fluffy Merkin puff piece is posted at MLB.com/news
  9. You’ve probably put far more thought into this than whatever price gouging plan they schemed up.
  10. Chicago White Sox: Feb. 15, Feb. 20 https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/see-when-pitchers-and-catchers-report-mlb-spring-training-2023
  11. Let's hope so. This has fallen out of the news cycle by now, but it's still lingering as the start of camp approaches. Soxdom needs some resolution very soon.
  12. 2023 Chicago White Sox: “We’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas!”
  13. “We hate our fans” is sufficient in itself.
  14. Yeah, that’s a curious statement. Was anyone actually viewing as a rebuilding situation? I’m too lazy to dig for more context, but it seems sort of out of left field.
  15. The art of trying really hard while doing next to nothing...
  16. How soon do Kyrie and Luka clash??
  17. Seems like a waste of his defensive capabilities but if it weakens them at 1b then all the better.
  18. Is anyone actually surprised here? Predictions in the mid 80s seem on the generous side after the offseason they had.
  19. Didn’t the Sox take less in return because NYY ate all of the money? That’s how I seem to remember it.
  20. I get that it is probably difficult to find quality commentators to fill on a part time basis. But FFS they can't do better than Gordon fucking Beckham? I just don't get the fondness for him. He sucked here as a player, really offers nothing notable from a baseball perspective, and he is down right awful on air. There have to be talented people looking to break into the industry that would jump at a shot to be on air. I get that is probably difficult for one's schedule, but come on!
  21. No one in human history has tried harder by actually doing the bare minimum than these dopes.
