  1. His talent evaluation doesn't much inspire faith in his ability to hire quality personnel...
  2. Its too damn bad that he himself and the chairman are both top of list
  3. Tnetennba replied to Johno's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Unless he magically has control over the purse strings, no amount of pixie dust from Terry Francona is turning this franchise around.

Francona is smart enough not to pull a TLR
  5. I imagine for a lot of Sox shareholders it’s just another share in their portfolio, as so long as it keeps appreciating they don’t care about the inner workings. Pure speculation on my part though.
  6. I believe this was part of the original agreement amongst owners when JR was named chairman. He basically has full control despite not being the majority owner at the time. Their ROI after 40+ has to be ridiculously good at this point, so why rock the boat?
  7. Yeah, that ain’t happening.
  8. 39-126 under Getz, but this team nor the one he inherited are in any way his responsibility…🤦🏽‍♀️
  9. Certainly not an encouraging chain of events for the “prize” of the Cease trade…
  10. Waiting for the Brute Squad to finish them off and put us out of our collective misery... just to find that wheelbarrow...
  11. With the way they hyped him up in all of the early season promos, he definitely wasn't riding the pine.
  12. Their starter could pitch a perfecto and they would still find a way.
  13. 31-131 would be such a fitting record, but these dopes will probably luck into a win or two and screw up their chance at glory.
  14. Who is taking a victory lap? They could have started anyone and the statement still holds true.
  15. “We’re just trying to continue the discussions,” he said, “and trying to convince people that it will be great for the region, for the city and for the state.” Funny how they can't convince anyone beyond those few who stand to benefit. Enjoy Arlington Heights, assholes.
  16. 104th already in the bag...
  17. I don't think any team is breaking the 134 loss Spiders' record, but they have a real shot to crack 120 and own the modern era record.
  18. Look out Mets, the White Sox are coming for your record…
  19. Perfect thread title 😂😂
  20. Fastest team to 100 losses in the modern era? Yeah, fire his incompetent ass and launch the whole org into the sun…
  21. 1962 Mets and the 2003 Tigers lost 100 before September. Sox did it with a week left in August. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
  22. The 1962 Mets lost #100 on 8/29. Their record on 8/25/62 was 33-97, and 33-98 after 131 games. So, kudos to the White Sox for besting that mark.
  23. Who he hires, or who JR allows him to hire, should be of concern when dealing with the Sox level of ineptitude, be it an outside hire or not.
  24. Because that GM is an incompetent boob in over his head?
