  2. Solo homer deep to center off Danish. 2-1 Milwaukee.
  3. Ouch. Saladino picked off 1st. Really hoping the base running improves under Reteria...

  5. Nice diving catch in left center by Engel to rob a hit!
  6. He Gone! Fulmer strands men at 1st & 3rd.
  7. Anderson lead off single, but stranded at 1st.
  8. 1-2-3 top of the 1st for Fulmer!
  9. Strike 3 on Moncada was a very generous call. He worked a walk to my eyes.
  10. Damns. Moncada Ks on a pitch inside. Ballgame.
  11. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Mar 6, 2017 -> 05:15 PM) f***ing internet connection completely skipped over his AB. Did he double? Yes. RBI double to the wall, bounced over.
  12. woof. Sox defense has been bad today.
  13. I love Hawk because I grew up on Hawk, and he is an all time great. But as a broadcaster he is way past his prime. He is only hurting his great legacy by continuing on IMO. Benetti is a fine broadcaster. He isn't Hawk. But that shouldn't be held against him. Filling Hawk's broadcasting shoes is a tall task no doubt. Could Benetti use some old school baseball broadcasting flavor? Sure. But I am willing to let him continue to grow into the job before completely writing him off.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jan 3, 2017 -> 10:44 AM) As things currently stand, I think some of you guys are going to be disappointed with how the Sox play this. The offseason still has a long way to go. There are still a bunch of a FA available, which makes guys like Frazier / Melky / Lawrie more difficult to move. Perhaps once the FA pool continues to dwindle, we'll see a market develop for those guys, and they're ultimately moved. But if Frazier, Melky, Lawrie, Abreu and Quintana are on the team in April, I fully expect the Sox to try to compete. Stop gap OF, DH and C signed. Still plenty of options for the first two. Lawrie plays everyday at 2B until he gets hurt or Moncada pushes him to bench. Saladino (if healthy) is the super sub. The young arms come up in June. Sox to reassess in late June, and move the impending FAs at that point if they're out of the race. Honestly, at this point, that is what I expect. This is my fear as well.

  17. Starts a lot of games, gets shelled in most. rarely makes it to the 6th inning. gone by the 4th more often than not.
  18. scotgregor: If Nats are willing to part with package of young talent that starts with Trea Turner, @WhiteSox could have trade partner for Sale. https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/805854159958327296
  19. I would imagine that Lawrie would bring something back in a trade, even if mere org fodder. If Lawrie were non-tendered, the FO must know that Saladino will be fine by spring training. Or is ok handing the reigns to Sanchez. What I want to know is where is the Avisail Garcia non-tender?!
  20. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 04:18 PM) The more I read Nightengale's story, the more I think Ventura is NOT coming back. Focus on the two key phrases: he can "return if he wants" and "the White Sox refuse to blame Ventura for the losing records". I mean, what better way for Mr. Loyalty Program Owner to set the stage for a graceful exit of one his prized pups than this. Allowing Ventura to leave on his own terms without the shame of being fired, AND publicy declaring the team doesn't hold him accountable for the past five years of futility. Robin will sail off quietly into the sunset, and then that will be that. I really really hope this is true, but I have no faith left in this org. seriously.
  21. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) My only hope is the Sox actually met, know they are parting ways, but agreed to let Robin be the one to own the terms of departure. I have similar hope and hope its not my own delusional denial...
  22. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 04:51 PM) The lineup is wrong. Eaton is in CF with Coats in RF Makes much more sense.
  23. If I read Baseball Reference correctly, Coats has played CF in 43 of his 444 some odd minor league games. Makes perfect sense. #RobinLogic
