  1. That unfortunately didn't age well, looks like he's done for the year if they had to automatically move him to the 60 day IL.
  2. Perez will eventually become the 8th White Sox pitcher to have TJS. Obviously things showed up very bad in the early tests they did. This organization can't go a single solitary week without someone getting hurt.

Very well said. A rebuilding team should be looking towards the future with younger players not retreads, has-been's, injury prone guys and stiffs populating the team.
  4. This must be a mistake, they actually scored eight runs? Feel bad for Burke those errors and all those unearned runs really screwed things up for him. And this is the first time this year the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and won.
  5. https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/04/19/white-sox-place-martin-perez-on-15-day-il-recall-jared-shuster
  6. Another day yet another game where they score three runs or less. Losing streak now at six and they are 0-8 to start the season on the road. All you can do is laugh.
  7. The seven straight road losses to open a season is a franchise record. The disaster that the franchise has become continues to manifest itself in unusual ways more and more.
  8. Another game with three runs or less and another pitcher with the dreaded "forearm soreness" which will translate to a date with the doctor for TJS, the eighth Sox pitcher to have it this year. Maybe they can get a group discount?????????????
  9. That would be a solid move for all concerned.
  10. Agreed which is why those thinking he should resign are dreaming, he'd never get another job in MLB so he's milking it for as much income as he can get.
  11. Like many of JR's employees he loves the nice check and job security. Should he resign? Probably...will he? Nope...he's got a family to feed and much like Williams and Hahn he'll never sniff another job in MLB so he does what he's told.
  12. This has been one of the worst organizations in baseball since the start of the 2007 season. The record doesn't lie: 12 losing years, five winning ones and a .500 season.
  13. Like most very wealthy people it is never enough money but with JR I think it goes deeper than that, it is his ego, his arrogance. "I know what I'm doing, how DARE you question me..." (and by proxy the organization which has has that strain of arrogance for decades from people like Kenny Williams to Rick Hahn to Getz among others.) Plus his feelings about how much MLB players make hasn't changed either, he feels they aren't worth what teams are willing to pay for talent and he chooses not to actively participate in the deep end of that pool.
  14. “We’ve got to find a way to score runs. The intent is there. These guys are practicing the right way, game planning the right way. We’re getting some guys on, we just have to cash in.”---Will Venable to the Sun-Times.
  15. Robert joins fellow "Bust Brothers" Moncada and Jimenez.
  16. .136; .138; .149; .184; .182; .103 That's some "quality" Major League players right there kids, let me tell you! 😆
  17. I know we all hoped for better things but the fact is that is not going to happen. This is an abysmal roster, full stop. 4-14 on the year 14 games where they scored three runs or less (78%) 54 runs TOTAL this season (averaging three runs per game) 3 times shut out 4 times scored one run 3 times scored two runs 4 times scored three runs All you can do is laugh
  18. The best average among the top four hitters in the lineup tonight was .143 All you can do is laugh. 13 times in 17 games the Sox have scored three runs or less.
  19. I disagree, he'd be more tolerable but still an issue.
  20. He's not the problem, he is PART of the problem. Just another example of a dysfunctional organization that can't get out of their own way.
  21. Another day and yet another game where they score three runs or less.
  22. It was a long form story in the Athletic dated last September 19 by Brittany Ghiroli and ken Rosenthal. The headline was: "An owner who 'thinks he knows everything' led the White Sox to historic disaster"
  23. This is true but what may also be true is if all these "changes" to the organizational structure, the bringing in of all these people from outside the organization were so meaningful, you'd think they'd get at least a vote or two wouldn't you?
  24. He isn't out of the organization yet folks. If he clears waivers there is a decent chance the Sox take him back and send him to Charlotte.
  25. The Athletic has a long story today on MLB front offices. Over 40 front office types voted on the teams with the best front offices and why. The White Sox did not even receive a single vote which shouldn't be surprising. Did not receive votes: (for the second season in a row, in all cases): Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays.
