Hey Engle and Pollock gave the lineup the punch they needed.

They smell blood in the water w Chapman. Do we counter w Hendricks or wait till/if we get a lead. -

I agree but we are down to 6 batters. But their meat is coming up in 8th and 9th -

We have 1 batter in the lineup hitting over .240. Good Cueto is shutting them down. -

I know it is going to be very hot and muggy today. So play TA at SS one game and let him DH the other game. Yanks have two pretty good pitchers so we need TA's bat. -

Selfishly, I wish Cease had one of these games. Coming back in NY after his rough start last week against the Yankees would have been good if he had a solid outing against them. -
Hendriks would be very valuable come trade deadline unless he implodes before then. Moncada is 26. Some teams will definitely offer a decent return for him
-
No. If they ( not sure who makes these decisions) need changes they should make them win or lose tomorrow.
-
The Sox need the runs as well.
-
After the rough Yankee start, I can see Cease bouncing back w a gem against the Royals.
-
In fairness, Tim Anderson is in top 5 in AL batting average. So I would say he looks very sharp in the batting box also considering w his .335 average he has struck out very few times. Now he may not be excited and he may not be sharp in the field, But in the batters box he is very sharp so far.

Agree. Also as we saw w the Braves, mid-season acquisitions can have a major impact. It is a long season and some teams in mid-May will look and perform much differently in September.

Tough to lose to a guy named Nestor. -
Agree with the timing. But judging the Kelly signing based on his first week back is pretty dumb.
-
In fairness it should be damn you JR or Kenny or Hahn . Pick one. This is not a major loss but the Sox have a weakness and Cano could be worth nothing or he could become a nice addition. You cannot use the money excuse.

I find the weather forecasters struggle to get the daily weather right. Having said that, there is an 88% chance of rain Saturday. Hopefully prime seats have a roof over them.
-
Running the bases is also dangerous. So it looks like relief pitching is the safest place for him.
-
Cora was not an option. Boston wanted him back after his suspension.
-
He is a big kid at 240lbs.

Not having Apple TV, I was outside looking in. Actually following via my PC. Where did the broadcast originate from and who were the announcers?
-
Liam: Get all 3
-
I would add the grass is somewhat wet as well and he still gunned him down.
-
Looks like we will get this gain in. Saturday may be wetter
