  1. I would think Tennessee would be a prime spot, Maybe some open spot south of Nashville could draw from Memphis as well as some of the larger eastern Tennessee cities as well.
  2. Yeah but Lynn has been throwing left-handed since he came to the Dodgers............................
  3. In fairness, some teams do restrict discounts on certain prime opponents. I know for years, Tampa Bay restricted Red Sox, Yankees and Dodger home games. That happened when those teams had a ton more fans than the Ray could draw.
  4. From 2004 , Red Sox also had 6/7 managers with ( one season) due to Cora's suspension. But they won the World Series in 3 of those those years. So changing managers has not been the problem.
  5. Maybe not. Putting everything aside, the most important factor is JR. Are the White Sox comfortable making income number 1 or spending money and getting a good team number 1. It is not an overreaction if JR is happy the books look great or he is bullshit the team is so bad. The future will tell us what the FO "really" wants to achieve.
  6. Teams lose and we see all the stories of 25 players, 25 cabs. Teams win and we see all the stories of teamwork. Maybe the White Sox didn't spend time finding players who have a team purpose as well as a player purpose. The Red Sox had the 25 cabs but eventually some key players like Johnny Damon and Mike Lowell were key players that helped turn their fortunes around. But they were not star players but were able to fill a need. Somebody in the White Sox organization needs to find these guys as well as the Cease and Robert to go along with them.
  7. Agree. It is set up to have the new guy be the reason the team sucks. To me he does suck but he is 3-4 down the line for where the blame should be
  8. Somebody in the front office must have seen today's game and gone into a rant. Whether it was JR, KW,RH. or PG, one of them must have exploded after this game. Someone should have been traded or DFA. Maybe someone in the front office should have been fired. Maybe someone in the FO should be having a closed door meeting tomorrow including interpreters with the team and screamed at them. This is an embarrassment to the fans of this team who cannot believe what we are seeing. Tomorrow heads should begin to roll and continue once the trade deadline opens.
  9. I actually think KW leaves the White Sox and Hahn takes over as VP. I have no clue what KW actually does but in all fairness it looks like Hahn can change seats and a new GM takes over. Probably Getz but who knows.
  10. In fairness, Vaughn has played in 94 of the 97 starts for White Sox. So maybe Verlander has eaten him up in the past or maybe he just needed a day off. But to your point, Vaughn needs to be in as many games as possible even if worst case he ends up being a trade chip down the road.
  11. Actually this should make Colas the starting RF going forward. Eloy has no real value as a part time player( really a DH) so Sox will have to keep him anyway. Good news he did not take down someone else with him.
  12. A day at the park is really enhanced by having options outside the park. I haven't done a lot of stadiums but Baltimore is excellent, Boston is pretty good but Tampa Bay and Dodger Stadium( long time ago so that may have changed) were weak. Went in and out by train at night so not sure what Philadelphia had. I find it great when an area is relatively clean/safe with a lot of activities so fans can make a day before /after the game.
  13. Good road win for the Sox. Beni had a solid game with the bat.
  14. Like Grifol? He was an All America Catcher.
  15. I do not see Pedro going anywhere. I don't know how much he makes, but the Sox do not make a decision that fast. If JR has kept Hahn through this mess, he should be the 1st to go.
  16. Let's think positive. Sox sweep Atlanta and start their " March" to the Central Crown.

    Moncada

I would agree Sox will have to eat a big chunk of change. For that reason, I think Sox will not move him.
  18. The first 4 hitters went 7/16 and the last 5 went 1/16. Team had 1 walk and 9 SO. At least they played error free. By any chance do we have a pitcher on the roster that has a better bat than any of bottom 5?
  19. Colas deserves to be back in Chicago. But now the timing is kind of odd. If Colas returns and hopefully is permanent in RF, where does that put Eloy? I would have hoped he was playing some in RF to try and increase his trade value at the deadline. If he returns to only DH his value drops even lower. It seems like Eloy will not be traded as just a DH but maybe some team sees him playing in the outfield or the Sox just figure he is a permanent DH.
  20. Maybe in 2030 as long as they are still in Chicago
  21. The number doesn't make a difference. There will be player(s) coming back and there will be cash going out. But most likely there will be 1 prospect and a couple of players we will never hear from again. Most likely the cash amount will swing the deal as this looks like a lost cause.
  22. San Francisco to Oakland is only 12 miles or so. If a new owner wants a change of scenery, I think they may want an area that is open to a new market. But Oakland did survive w Frisco years ago so who knows.
  23. I think that could be the story. If a team is sound financially, some owners could care less about the record. Not all because some owners want success on the field as way. But maybe JR is happy to keep getting the checks
