Fooled us maybe for a little bit.
That may explain why you live in Arizona. Top 5 in attendance were Montreal-Detroit-Chicago-Tampa Bay and Florida. Notice only Canadian is Montreal in Top 5 which includes 2 Florida teams

Most consecutive 100-loss seasons in MLB history
THEN LETTING THEM DO THEM! I would add with capital to "do" them. If the bottom line is first "corporate profit" the ideally that phrase does not mean anything

Genuine progress
I would add that a rookie catcher should actually be giving extra time since the position requires a lot of effort on both offensive and defensive proficiency. For this season of 225 AB, he has shown very solid offensive number so far

9/15/25 Orioles @ White Sox
Another guy who seems perfect in his role is Romy Gonzalez. He has played in 86 of 150 games this season usually against lefty starters. He has been excellent at 2B as well as a decent 1B. He is batting .312 this year and .286 last season. I think injuries were a factor but he struggled from 2021-2023 with the White Sox but he has been a great roles player in Boston.

Crochet trade; almost a season later
He was an "ace" last year for the White Sox but was limited by innings pitched due to health concerns. This year he has a legit shot to be best starter in AL .He had a 3.58 ERA last year in 146 innings. He already has 178 innings this year with 2.67 ERA. Crochet was not in the Top 10 starters last year for Cy Young. .

Crochet trade; almost a season later
One thing to note is that Crochet is now a top of the rotation staring pitcher. That has helped make the Red Sox a contender which they were not the previous seasons. As a White Sox fan, I would not have felt, with his injury history, that he would arrive to that spot so quickly. Since Boston had plenty of prospects, they were able to not touch their top 3 prospects and still put a package that would interest the White Sox. So both teams got what they wanted but we will see if Crochet continues to be a #1 and if the White Sox end up with their prospects being valuable starters down the road.

8/31 Yankees @ White Sox
Yankees lost 3 out of 4 in NY against the Red Sox. Boston wins 6 of 7 on the road against New York and Baltimore then comes home and loses 2 out of 3 in Boston against the lowly Pirates. Blue Jays lose 2 of 3 at home against Brewers. AL East are all killing each other going down the stretch. Maybe the Tigers or Astros will eventually win the AL crown.

8/29 Sox vs. Yankees 6:40PM
Imagine if White Sox still had Crochet, Giolito and Rodon in the White Sox rotation instead of in Boston and New York.

Colson Montgomery has arrived
He is a big guy( 230 lbs) playing SS. If he starts having back issues, SS is not a place for him and maybe move to a position with less physical stress like IB.

8/22 Twins @ Sox
Not just the White Sox and lack of fundamentals. Yankees had 4 errors and even a balk for a run in game the Red Sox on Thursday. Bad teams always seem to make bad plays in big games.

Crochet Trade Outcome Tracker
One other note, I see a lot of Red Sox games and I would add that Crochet is also a big part of the Boston dugout. When he is not in the rotation, he is constantly in the top steps of dugout cheering on his team. He is very popular w the Red Sox.

8/13 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM
I still think "pushing" Montgomery to the majors after his small detour to Arizona has been wonderful. I do think taking a few chances on players who hopefully have a future in Chicago is better off than just recycling players 30+ who are just filling a spot.

Sox at Rays, 7/21 6:35 CDT
Mighty: I was a snowbird for many years just north of Bradinton and we went north via 75 or west via Sunshine and neither were much of a problem. Back home I went to Fenway and it was always a tough commute and parking was an adventure. Florida residents, in general, St. Pete or Tampa don't seem to be die-hard fans but more of casual fans. Weird they really have attached themselves to the hockey team though. That is my take but the Rays have been pretty competitive for many years but have a bunch of reasons why mans don't attend. I think Nashville may eventually be their landing spot.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Boston most likely is going to trade an outfielder ( probably Duran/Abreu or Campbell) plus for a starting pitcher. So unless Phillies don't have a starter Boston could be at the front of the trade line

And that's a 4-2 WHITE SOX OVER TRASHCANS WINNER
The good news, I guess, is that the Sox are getting closer to some of the other bottom teams like Florida and Athletics.

Vargas last 28 games
Only problem is the 4th and 5th hitters. Vargas needs to have a couple of legit hitters behind him so he doesn't get shitty hitters in the next 2 spots hitting below .200

Booser & Gilbert
Boston color man, Lou Merloni, had say during spring training that Red Sox were going to beef up their left side relivers. So he was surprised the Red Sox let Booser go since he was very effective last season. Booser pitched well this past weekend against Boston.

🐰 4/20 Sox @ Sawx - 12:35PM 🌿
The quote came from Dave O'Brien and Middlebrooks in the Tampa Bay series before the White Sox series. Since then, the White Sox have won 3 games against Boston in the 2 series. O'Brien must have been embarressed by the remarks.

🐰 4/20 Sox @ Sawx - 12:35PM 🌿
Lou Merloni has been doing the color this weekend and he is the primary color analyst on NESN for the 2025 season. Middlebrooks does fill-in on the Red Sox from time to time.

4/16 Game Thread - > Sox vs A's
I looked at last night's game against the A's. The Sox's first 5 hitters in the lineup had one hitting .200 and the other 4 hitting below .150. That leads me to believe we are going to struggle to score runs in that game. After all the changes and trades we made, you would think that a couple of starters would be off to good starts? This is the A's we are competing with.
