  1. If they moved to the suburbs it's whatever, it doesn't bother me. But as long as the Sox are a Chicago team there is zero chance they are leaving 35th and Shields.
  2. I would not reward the people who moved the White Sox with my fandom and money. I'd pick a new team. Maybe the Cubs, inconceivable as that thought may be. The good news is there are 3 or 4 teams more likely than the White Sox to relocatr.
  3. I am shocked nobody wants Dunn. Can other teams really see absolutely no value in a guy who does pretty good work against RHP? I'm honestly starting to think the price on him this offseason as an FA is going to be well below what he's worth. Combine that and our complete lack of options at DH going into 2015... I'm not opposed to a 2 year deal.
  4. I don't have a problem aggressively promoting Trey. If he plays well finishing out the season at A+, it drastically alters his prospect profile for the better. He was going to be in W-S to start next season anyways.
  5. I'd love to DFA Blowasavio as much as anyone, but whoever we bring up will probably be just as bad.
  6. What logo is on the Ump's cap? They are MLB's representatives, and they deserve to catch grief for these idiotic rules.
  7. They did no thinking regarding that rule whatsoever.
  8. I'm not even worried about the Tigers anymore. They are struggling big time in a year they should've run away with this division, and with some of the absolutely terrible money they'll be on the hook for I don't see them improving. The Twins are the team going forward I'm really worried about. Maybe the Royals.
  9. I don't care what anyone believe or what statistics say, if Chris Sale played for an NL team he would be considered hands down the best pitcher in the world.
  10. I remember when he got hurt and I thought "Big deal, we'll probably be better off without him." Oh, how wrong I was.
  11. Buddy Bell was on White Sox weekly and just hammered how impressed the org has been with the development of Rodon's change. They expected to have to do a lot more work on it than they apparently have to.
  12. This is the 340th post in a thread titled "is Ventura the worst manager in the history of MLB." Let that sink in, sports fans.
  13. Drafting Adams and Rodon plus the emergence of Montas and Danish is a dramatic improvement. Coming into the year we had a bit of a young pitching crisis. Not to mention Conor and Q making big steps. This year pushed the clock forward on the rebuild thing.
  14. First you said only a handful of guys matter, them immediately claimed the White Sox problem was too many bad players. Quite the contradiction. If that's the case, and I agree that it is (to a point, we do need a big lefty bat in the middle of the lineup), filling out the spots around the headliners is extremely important. The last thing we need is Brent Morel's and Alejandro DeAza's polluting the lineup with Danny Wright Rienzo getting starts.
  15. Obvious precursor to Rodon coming up in September.
  16. Noesi, Alexei and Gillaspie all matter quite a bit. I would also say John Danks and his $14.5m salary matters (for different reasons). Why is this entire board so blinded by youth and cost control? If a guys not in his first couple years in the league or signed to ludicrously undervalued contracts they just don't matter? Give me a break.
  17. Danks is quite a bit worse than Noesi.
  18. Danish might be a something. Like a real something, dominating A+ as a 19 year old is cool.
  19. I wouldn't go that far. Dayan is going to be a very good bat someday, I just doubt it'll ever happen in Chicago.
  20. If Jordan Danks can ever be even replacement level with the bat he is a damn fine backup OF. No problem with the Sox giving him multiple chances this year.
