Man, Haseley is one hell of a AAA hitter. Too bad it hasn’t translated. 3 run homer in the first.

Shane Riordan sucks and knows nothing
Maybe make Menechino manager so he can't be the hitting coach anymore?

7/11- White Sox at Guardians, 6:10
They took a risk signing Lynn instead of Rodon. Turns out "knee + not gonna rehab" < "shoulder + newfound willingness to train."

Quantrill on a pace to throw a CG 70 pitch shutout.

7/11- White Sox at Guardians, 6:10
Now they have to figure out how they are going to cover 7 innings in a blowout with a doubleheader tomorrow. Vince Velasquez, come on down!

Doubleheader tomorrow. Are we gonna see a position player pitch in the first inning?

Ha ha. This team can go 3 up, 3 down faster than any team in history.

2022 MLB Draft Thread
Drew Waters always one of the most overrated prospects in baseball. Dumping him while he still had any value.

Nightengale: Sox have clubhouse issues
Nightengale’s sources are in FO, possibly JR himself. May be an attempt to blame players instead of management.

2022 MLB Draft Thread
Thanks. Prielipp would be a nice outcome.

Is Cueto the team MVP?

Sooooo.....who are you selling?
I don’t think anyone wants them to rebuild, but facts are facts. They need to be realistic and reload/retool for 2023. I reiterate from the other thread that I would look at Pollock, Lynn, Cueto, Graveman, Harrison, Engel, and if anyone would take him, Joe Kelly. Not looking to shop, but would listen on Grandal and Abreu. Guys like Eloy, Moncada, and Vaughn I am keeping at least until the off-season. Would promote Colas to AA already and get Davis Martin and Lenny Sosa to the majors.

White Sox Interested in Mahle/Castillo?
Lowe has a back issue that may recur. He would be risky.

Colas makes Futures Game
So… no Colson Montgomery? A little crazy, but no Marcelo Mayer either. Probably should have gotten another three Yankees onto the roster.

I saw him pitch in Kanny against a pretty good Cubs lo-A team. He's a college lefty who can really change speeds at that level. I don't think you're going to be able to say much about him until he does it in AA. Young hitters expanded the zone against his change in the game I saw. That said, I saw a good arm action and excellent fade, so there's a chance.

White Sox Interested in Mahle/Castillo?
There's been a lot of talk on this board that Ramos has to be on the 40 man after this year, I'm not sure that's accurate. My understanding of the rule is that players under 18 have to be protected 5 years after their signing date. Ramos and Rodriguez were both signed in the summer of 2018. The Rule 5 draft is going to be in the winter of 2022. Do they have to be protected from that draft? As I said before, I wouldn't trade any prospects for anybody to fortify this sucky team, but even if I did, Ramos and Thompson are guys I would hold on to. If they think Veras can stick at 3rd, I can see where they may think Ramos is expendable, I just wouldn't do it personally. Especially for Chris Drury.

White Sox Interested in Mahle/Castillo?
Look, I think they need to be sellers. One victory against Minny shouldn't trick them into thinking this team is a contender. It's not. They have a system with 15 decent prospects in it. They shouldn't trade 3 of them to get 1.5 years of control of a pitcher. But that's my opinion. RH knows better.

This is hilarious. Won’t use ReyLo in the winnable game, now they’re gonna burn him out in the blow out.

I had him at 16 because the last half of the top 30 is fliers on young guys and mediocre relievers. Figured I’d bet on production.
