I support moving Grandal down a spot, but my line up for this game and next year is some version of 1. TA 2. Moncada 3. Robert 4. Abreu 5. Grandal 6. Eloy 7. Sheets/Vaughn 8. Engel 9. Leury

I'm glad it's Cease going tonight. If he's going to be a core part of the rotation, you have to see if he can get his head straight against good teams. Otherwise, you should get something for him. The Sox aren't going to blow it up no matter what happens moving forward, so I'm rooting for Cease to take a step forward and get a W.

This trade sucked, but it's time for the Sox to move on. It's a sunk cost. They have to decline options on Kimbrel and Hernandez. I can imagine a lot of better ways to invest $22 million. And, remember, this was the good part. Gonna suck watching Heuer and Madrigal for the next 5 years up north. As far as second base next year: I predict Romy Gonzalez takes the job at some point.

Keibert Ruiz was the headliner, so a good prospect, but not a top 5 guy.
