I would look to acquire bulk young pitching like the Eaton deal. We have had a lot of injuries and after Cease, the cupboard is almost completely bare of even back of the rotation possibilities. I would be willing to package minor league position players to do it. Sadly, not a lot of guys are having appealing years.

Cordell is a very good defensive right fielder, who thus far has shown neither the ability to manage the strike zone nor the ability to crush mistakes ala Palka. The sound the ball makes coming off his bat sounds like a wet kitchen sponge being hit with a roll of Christmas wrap. Very similar to Adam Engel, imho.

Fry never looked like Bummer. Sure, if you get the equivalent of Gleybar Torres for him, sure. If you get a prospect in the area of Tilson, Cordell, Medeiros, etc., then no way.
