  1. Keenyn Walker was not a high school player.
  2. Yes, especially in the last month of the season. But he never looked the way Lucas looks right now. We need that good ReyLo back.
  3. Robert walk off bases clearing double. 4-5 2 doubles, 3 rbi
  4. Yeah, but they have one, which is more than they had last year unless you count Rodon for like 6 weeks before it all came crashing down.
  5. Sad for Burr, but Ruiz was throwing pretty well right before he was sent out. Interested in what he looks like.
  6. 2 liners to left for Madrigal, one a hit. Good sign if starts pulling the ball more.
  7. Baseball is not like a lot of other sports, the majority of first rounders are underwhelming. Did you see Law’s 2009 redraft? It’s here. Maybe 5 stars and 20 serviceable players in the whole thing. You can look smart re: prospects by always betting the under.
  8. Ouch. You can disagree with a draft choice without getting so personal. Besides, torn Achilles is not based on body type or how in shape you are. Kobe Bryant tore an Achilles, was he in bad shape? Burger was unlucky, plain and simple.
  9. Kind of a rough lineup. At least the Royals are also bad, so it is a fair fight.
  10. Agree to disagree. Injury prone guy with high upside is a legitimate play, I just think the high whip in a park that suppresses exit velocity is a bad sign moving to the G Rate, especially on a big long-term contract. Point is moot as there’s no way the Sox are signing him, but if he’s supposed to be the Sox version of Lester or Verlander, I would rather have someone with more track record.
  11. If Zack Wheeler is a #1, Giolito is a HoF candidate. 4.6 era with a 1.3 whip in the best pitching environment in mlb, facing lineups with the pitcher hitting. No thanks.
  12. I agree to certain extent, but I will point out that you just described Nick Madrigal, so they are trying to do what you advised.
  13. Okay, but Berrios, Kepler, Rosario, and Buxton aren’t going anywhere and Kiriloff is a serious prospect. And their front office, many of whom come from the Indians, have shown they know what they’re doing. The division is not going to roll over just because Hahn keeps promising multiple championships. Sox need to get smarter.
  14. Granted. I expected it to happen. Still don’t like it.
  15. Another double for Madrigal, but runner got thrown out at home.
  16. Doubles for Robert and Basabe, tie game. Basabe 1-1 with 2 bb. He’s rounding into form it looks like.
  17. I never want anyone to get hurt, that said, remember how much better the Sox pitching was when Castillo was suspended? Yet another Manny friend who has not performed. Looking forward to Seby getting a shot.
  18. Oops. Wrong thread.
  19. Oh come on, he’s rehabbing at the Sox facility, helping out Dunning, being a good teammate. It is ridiculous to say he is somehow dogging his rehab.
  20. What’s crazy is how many guys he has had 0-2, 1-2 that he cannot put away.
  21. ReyLo can’t put anyone away tonight. I think he’s had 2 strikes on everyone this inning.
  22. Watched all of it. A lot of cheap hits. The single that came around to score was a roller, exit velocity probably in the 60’s. Walks came in bunches. He lost his mechanics in his last inning. Issue is consistency in his delivery. Most of the night he dominated their hitters.
  23. Maybe the best 2 game stretch of the year for pure enjoyment.
  24. I would not send him out there. 2-13 w/RISP, 10 left. Get cute, this is the kind of game that would really sting.
  25. I guess, but these Astros pitchers are nobodies and they're getting 2 ball widths more than Giolito on every corner.
