  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) Please no deer-in-headlights Erik Johnson Dude my dad used to say that same thing about Gavin Floyd lol
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Anyone else having issues with Comcast Sports Net? I live in the city (with Comcast cable) and the channel just isn't working right now. Really frustrating. Agree. Was looking forward to watch the second half to the first game and the whole second game (time permitted) after work.
  3. What the f*** comcast. Get your s*** together.
  4. Anyone else having issues with CSN?
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 23, 2016 -> 05:07 PM) Hopefully Latos can go 6 or 7 innings today. That's asking for a lot with him.
  6. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 23, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) A guy I would be very interested in is Chris Archer. I wonder if there's something the Sox see in him they could "fix". Archer is probably the closest thing to an 'ace', and it would require some luck and some work to him to rediscover that ability, that the Sox could get w/o sacrificing Anderson. Might not even have to give up Fulmer or Adams even. There's been some dip in velocity but nothing catastrophic and he still racks up the strikeouts, his struggles have been due to walks, HR and just giving up hard contact in general. The Sox have shown an adeptness to fixing that fault, hard hit balls, in pitchers. Odorizzi wouldn't be bad either. I think the Rays are one of the few rosters to have a lot of interesting names, but also probably wont stay in the race much longer. Doubt we could get Archer. I'm sure they'd rather try to fix him themselves than sell low.
  7. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:36 AM) I thought it was impossible for Rodon to fall to 3, and that happened. MLB draft is weird. I wouldn't really call #3 overall "falling."
  8. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 23, 2016 -> 11:32 AM) Why is he a horrible idea? He has a 3.50 FIP and he'd be the Sox 4th starter. He'd also come very cheap most likely in terms of prospect cost. I agree. He's a fine mid/back end starter.
  9. I'll be at this game. May have to drink a few more beers than expected haha
  10. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 22, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) Eaton RF Rollins DH Frazier 3B Cabrera LF Sands 1B Lawrie 2B Sanchez SS Avila C Jackson CF That just looks depressing and sad.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 22, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) I know he's slumping, but our lineup just looks pathetic without Abreu in it Amen. I'd be shocked if we're not swept.
  12. Changing the zone to make lower part above knee? Next step: hitters hitting off a tee.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ May 21, 2016 -> 06:23 PM) Amazing how Crede is thought of as an all-time great and thome is brushed aside Agreed. I think Crede was/is overrated (thankful for contributions in 05 however).
  14. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 21, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) That's Sands you idiot He corrected himself...people make mistakes.
  15. I would prefer for this to be a season where we finish in first place and do well in the playoffs but I can't help but think about the kind of talent we could get back in an overhaul. The floors of any Quintana and Sale deal would be the Hamels and Miller deals. But they of course should command more.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 21, 2016 -> 03:03 PM) You're going to freak out in 2 months when the Sale to Boston rumors start again, aren't you Only if the rumors are for terrible pieces that the Boston media tries to push.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 21, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) At this rate, they will! Seeing as though he only threw 48 pitches last start, I bet he goes 5 at most.
  18. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 20, 2016 -> 09:19 PM) What is that suppose to do exactly? Mix it up? Try someone else out who's currently hitting in the minors? Try getting someone else in the lineup with OBP skills until someone better becomes available in a deal?
  19. Time for Hayes to DH/backup 1B with Garcia seeing more time in the outfield?
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 20, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) Lawrie hit by pitch in his first AB. Doubt it was intentional.
  21. Lincecum signing apparently pushes Angels over luxury tax threshold. That team is in horrible shape outside of Trout and a couple interesting arms.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Great, jinx ensues. No such thing...go back to Northside.
  23. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 20, 2016 -> 07:04 PM) God I f***ing hate the schedule now. Inter league all year and what, 60 odd games in the division every year? Gets boring. About 76 against the division. I wish we played other teams in AL more. They definitely need to add two more teams to go back to minimal interleague.
