  1. Idk, after the past month and ineptitude, I feel like the NFL equivalent of the Sox is our own NFL team in town.
  2. I feel like those kind of overpay contracts are worse than the Star players getting overpaid.
  3. I don't think he really has a high enough ceiling. Would love to see him play 3B all next year to find out though.
  4. Yeah I think they're just spitting out s%*# that other reporters are saying is going on (FA and trade discussions) and also throwing out guesses.
  5. I have more of a problem with the teams that have like $50M payrolls not spending than the teams like the Dodgers and Yankees.
  6. Especially since they gave up something to get those guys.
  7. Yeah this was pointed out in the thread that it takes a lefty off the board and from a team that posters didn't really like as a fit.
  8. Yeah, it seemed like they spent on the guys worth spending on like Betts, Freeman, Ohtani: true superstars in the game. Yamamoto if he lives up to the hype.
  9. You naming off 3 guys who hit from the left-side made me take a look to see if they are a potential candidate for a bad contract swap for AB.
  10. Feels safe to say that if Colas didn't get any shot in a year they lost over 120 games, he's a nonfactor to get much time in 2025.
  11. Yeah as of now with the guys here, I would go with: LF: DeLoach CF: Robert RF: Fletcher DH: Benintendi Then gives guys some ABs in the DH spot here and there and let Benintendi play the OF. So again, for me, it would depend on if they did move Robert or AB.
  12. He's a guy I think could get a starting gig somewhere so unless you're making him the starter in RF, I don't think he would sign here. I would also play many of the mid-20 year olds we already have here (some that we traded for) to see what we have. Edit: guess it also depends on how it shakes out possibly moving Benintendi and Robert.
  13. Teams could get 2 outs on one pitch! IBB to Soto then first pitch double play. In all seriousness though, the guy knows the zone so well that he would probably walk at least 200 times.
