Arizona Fall League
It always seems like guys (not just our team) go onto rake in the AFL but not so much the following minor league year. I pray he can carry it over.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (bighurt574 @ Nov 10, 2015 -> 03:59 PM) Isn't every team looking for young, cost controlled talent? Ha...yeah the title isn't exactly earth shattering news.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Nov 10, 2015 -> 01:20 PM) He can be had. He's not untouchable. He shouldn't be untouchable anyway.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 10, 2015 -> 12:59 PM) I was about to make a rebuttal... but then I saw Lucroy's 2015 stats. Let's deal for Derek Norris instead.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 10, 2015 -> 07:47 AM) Why? If I were a team with $$ I'd rather sign free agent pitching instead of giving up the prospects. Because every team may not have the money to offer up $150-200 mill for a starter.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 10, 2015 -> 07:23 AM) Quotes in New England this morning from Dobrowski say several GM's are actively looking to trade this week. http://www.providencejournal.com/article/2...PORTS/151109306 You think teams would want to try making trades for young cost controlled pitching before turning to free agent market giving out 9 figure contracts?

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 08:26 PM) This is the correct route to take, that goes without saying. But, besides the core, who could we trade that actually has value? Pitching prospects for young cost-controlled hitting is the only thing that comes to mind. Trading Cabrera, LaRoche and Robertson wouldn't bring back much. Maybe a guy like Petricka in a Reed type trade (granted it didn't work but I'd pull the trigger on a reliever for top 100 prospect every day of the week).

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 08:25 PM) I'd really like Marcell Ozuna. I have no idea if he's available or not, but I'd trade Avi and someone else for him. Avi wouldn't work since they already have Stanton and Yelich in the corners.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:46 PM) So anyone think sox will make a trade or do something during the gm meetings No. Maybe in next few weeks.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:31 PM) http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/11/09/lev...actually-do-it/ Can we stop sharing these fluff pieces? More specifically, Cubs Sox trade ones? It just gets people mad for no reason. It's just writers trying to make something out of team needs to write a story.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:14 PM) No. Stockpile that. Deal some once the foundation is built. This org is in no position to trade young players except in exchange for someone else's young players. I'm okay with dealing Q or Sale for that matter, for the right price. He's a 4-5 War player, at a low salary with years of control. That's the price. I'd deal Eaton first, though. Yeah I meant young cost controlled hitting. You really think I want them to deal for guys about to be free agents?

White Sox decline option on Alexei Ramirez
QUOTE (Dunt @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 04:20 PM) Seems to be pretty evident he isn't coming back unless he wants to take an actual discount Agree. I think he'll probably go to San Diego. Him or Asdrubal I suppose.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:07 PM) Simply put it's Chicago media trying to generate buzz based off of an obvious need for both teams. Did anyone expect them to say they wouldn't trade with the other. Exactly. It's a fluff piece.

2015 MLB Offseason activity thread
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 04:51 PM) Lol yeah right. At best, I think they can fetch a back end rotation type guy. Haha straight up probably. You think we could get him for Erik Johnson? Haha

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 05:59 PM) Man are there going to be posters disappointed by the actual return they get for Q Agree. If they were to deal him anyway. My preference is to deal from the pitching depth in the minors for hitting.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (LDF @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 05:57 PM) anyone other than him and russell, the deal would not be fair. I think Bryant and Rizzo are the likely 2 untouchables in their lineup. I do think that since they have middle infield depth that Russell could be had in a deal.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (LDF @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 05:53 PM) really i am being serious, if the northsiders were willing and so the sox, how can they make a trade that will be in equal value. for me, i would want Rizzo, Russell and a minor leaguer in the top 5 range. for Q and a rp or rp prospect. I don't think they'd trade Rizzo personally. He's their captain now on a team friendly deal just as team friendly as Q.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 05:48 PM) If you listen to Cubs fans they only want to trade their junk: Castro, Soler, etc. (Soler and Castro aggregated to a .9 WAR last year). But even if Theo is willing to make an honest trade, I just don't see a matchup. Who do they have that we want? Any ML ready C or 3B? I know they have some guys in low minors, but I just don't see the fit. Now, I can see fits with Boston, the number 1 player-hype machine in MLB (Cubs still #2). But not Cubs. There would be a fit if we were rebuilding and we're a few years away so adding lower level guys made sense but we're likely trying to compete now so it doesn't.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 05:36 PM) How exactly were we fleeced? Agree. A backup catcher, a back-end starter who could end up in bullpen (personally, the Ynoa part cancels him out for me), Ravelo without a position and a shortstop who can't field. I don't see much of a fleece there. And we may get better value out a comp pick than any of those guys.

Sox to go trade route possibly
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 05:31 PM) Oh I know, I wasn't insulting you or anything like that. It's just that Epstein is out of his freaking mind if he thinks the Sox would accept a deal anything remotely close to that. You know that this isn't a real offer right? No one is out of their mind and that deal would never be offered for Quintana in the first place.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 04:40 PM) Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 4m4 minutes ago Only way see Jose Quintana getting traded is if #WhiteSox got a really nice package of hitters back. Great contract, very good production. Basically what everyone figured.

Byung-ho Park bidding rights won by Twins, $12.85 m
QUOTE (Dunt @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 08:06 AM) Im not sure I would be. Seems like a total White Sox move. Take a chance on a guy that may produce for less money than top free agents. The LaRoche contract makes it a little murky, but as I said earlier, the Sox had 3 1B/DH 2 seasons ago, so it's not like it's out of the realm of possibility. I think if we get this guy or an outfielder, they have every intention of ridding themselves of LaRoche.

Byung-ho Park bidding rights won by Twins, $12.85 m
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:55 AM) There it is. Trade for Pedro Alvarez? If he played an average 3B and cost nothing in terms of players, I'd be for scooping him up. But he's a terrible defender and we have LaRoche at DH so no thanks.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 9, 2015 -> 06:37 AM) I was just told that the Pirates won the bidding for Byung Ho Park. https://twitter.com/CJNitkowski/status/663693652502437888 Really cornering the Korean market.
