Who are the "cheap players of value" you speak of? Middleton is a FA after this year.

I'd like for them to move as many guys as possible that have expiring contracts or are controlled through next year. I'd love to move Bummer but feel like they probably won't.

True. Should start collecting more minor league arms now. Should *hopefully* bring in a guy you can place into the rotation after a Giolito trade. Even if it isn't the main/best piece but still an additional MLB ready arm as a 3rd or 4th piece.

You can say the same for Lynn basically. Nightengale did acknowledge the other guys (besides Giolito) have no value though.

I bet he plays today, sits tomorrow with lefty on mound. I think Vaughn will be out today, or at least I put it at 50/50.

But even if you rebuild/tear it down, you have to make those kind of deals anyway. Need bodies at the MLB level to play/possibly flip the next summer.

I think Eloy will still see sometime in the OF. He’ll be used the same way he has been.

Pretty fucked up that they are running out Luke Weaver and his 6.96 ERA every 5th day.

He could have a couple decent starts if he’s not out too long after ASB.

With everyone healthy, if they still have this idea Eloy should play RF every now and then, I think he at least can stick on the bench over Sheets as a platoon at DH/backup 1B and 3B role. Sheets is basically worthless.

They probably should have done it yesterday along with Shaw. DFAing Frazier would have cleared a 40-man spot for Shaw.

All that matters is Sale’s first 3 years, which is what the Red Sox traded for. With the dust settling, not a good a trade.
