I’ve been in agreement with Jimmy that it was a mistake to not offer a QO. It will look worse if he signs say a 3 year deal somewhere. edit: someone here with in the pay month or so kicked around him signing a deal like Rich Hill did with the Dodgers where you know he’s going to be hurt at some point but whatever/whenever he pitches he will be good.

Makes sense. Out of all the top middle infield talent out there, he’s one of the older ones at 31 so he won’t require a massive contract like Seager or Correa would.

If he signs a multi year deal then I have to classify it as a failure. We shall see.

If we’re trading Kimbrel for another bad salary, we should not have picked up the option and used the money towards someone good instead.

If Vaughn goes for a 2B under decent control (Lowe, Marte, etc) and they sign a RF (Conforto) that would be great.
