  1. Was going to say that really narrows it down to Hinch and Cora lol
  2. I turned it on mid-comment but didn't he say: ideally someone with October and World Series success? That really narrows it down to like 2-3 guys lol
  3. lol I've actually had a break up that was mutual. It was the best breakup of all time. Neither one of us was bitter towards the other or upset. Too bad they all can't go that way.
  4. I think its just a nicer way of saying he was fired personally. That's it.
  5. I think the guys at the top of the free agent list like Bauer will get multi year deals and paid (yeah I'm not buying him only signing one year deals until I see it announced). A guy like Stroman I can see taking a one year deal as he sat out last year. I think he is more likely personally.
  6. Which is why I don't think it will be someone without managerial experience/success. Sandy at least has some experience and success this year. Also is Francona's bench coach. I'm also biased towards former catchers.
  7. Sandy Alomar Jr is bilingual and did well with the Indians this year filling in for Tito.
  8. Did you know about Renteria? I 100% took this as a hint something would be announced since you're pretty connected lol
  9. Good with those guys, as well as Tauchman.
  10. Honestly same. Just find a lefty bat to pair with Engel and role with that. Doesn't have to be a huge signing. Even if they end up having to go with Engel as the primary starter, you at least have good defense and speed in a deep lineup.
  11. Who would you offer a QO to? I would think Colome is the only one who gets one.
  12. Definitely. Manage his workload all season and then when minor league season ends, call him up in time to be eligible for playoffs/pitch in September when minor league season is over (all of course, if there is a minor league season).
  13. I don't think LaStella is going to sign anywhere to be a bench player.
  14. Exactly. Never bought into it really. There was some article I read somewhere yesterday about how the Sox and Trevor Bauer make sense for each other on a one year deal. I was like no...it really doesn't make sense from his standpoint at all.
  15. I think you have to pencil them in at this point, but wouldn't hate a guy like Dunning sliding into a 6th starter/Ross Stripling type role that he sort of moved into with the Dodgers. You need more than 5 starters. Plus, next year he will be 26. He's at the point where you use him at the MLB level (whether as a mainstay in rotation or 6th starter type role) or move him for another need (I do think we see one of Cease/Dunning moved, especially if we could sign 2 starters).
  16. I don't think we would see that full-time but maybe once in a while we see Vaughn at 3B? That's only if he is the "regular DH" next year meaning Abreu still gets most of the starts at 1B.
  17. The situations of Yoenis and Yoelkis are not anywhere near comparable when each is/was coming from Cuba.
  18. People would say this if he left him in and gave up a 3-run bomb to Olson though.
  19. I think they will stand pat and keep the guys who had down years through at least the trade deadline.
