I kinda wish they would have brought back Flexen. If he's eventually cut by the Cubs, I wouldn't mind picking him up. He at least ate innings last year and pitched to a 1.6 WAR (per BR). He settled on a minor league deal late in the offseason.

They've got a pretty good excuse to do it by saying he's blocked by Quero this year.

If he becomes a little more polished, I think he can be a good semi-regular, Utility player.

Yeah, to trade him now, I think I would need an overpay.

I’m not saying I would do it but just a gut feeling. Idk maybe classic GM thinking of “I didn’t draft or trade for this guy so I have no loyalty to him and would rather move him for another piece(s) that fits better for the roster” (ie: Quero)

For this year though when they are ready to call up Teel? Gun to head, they end up dealing one of them.

Trade both and grab some random, veteran defensive-first guy to serve as third catcher behind Quero and Teel.

I think they should if both Teel and Quero are in the lineup every day at C or DH.
