  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:06 AM) Agreed. I think it'll come down to Washington and Miami for Robertson. I would not be shocked if Miami offered Garrett, Kolek, or Castillo for Robertson because Miami lol Didn't the Marlins check in on Gonzalez last July? Maybe we can package Gonzalez and Robertson together.
  2. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 12:06 AM) you mean MLB? He's a helluva a competitor he just had the single most devastating injury to a pitcher...and he's being paid nothing. Minor League deal he can be cut at any time. No, I said professional pitch meaning MLB or minor league.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) You mean my idea of keeping Q and trading Rodon for Happ and Jimenez? Thats not a rumor...
  4. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 07:23 PM) He might have one of the 15 best contracts in the game. No where near a top 15 player in the game. And he's already peaked. I said this the other day. I love Eaton but I don't think he will do any better and probably slowly decline in a couple years.
  5. Never thought that guy would throw another professional pitch ever again to be honest.
  6. Don't understand why they didn't just give up a little bit extra to add Robertson to this deal.
  7. Rockies honestly almost make the most sense out of any team due to them having to overpay to get pitchers there. Puts them in an awful position to try to compete. Also have young position player depth that can be moved.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 02:29 PM) Bummed about Jansen going back to LA -- was hoping we could package Frazier/Robertson Would've also required Turner not going back.
  9. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 07:08 AM) Dodgers confident they will get Turner according to Olney. Dammit. Not too shocking though. Haven't read anything connecting him anywhere else.
  10. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 02:09 AM) I don't know man, it's not like we are far and away one of the worst teams. I think top 10 draft pick is a safe bet, and top 5 is a good chance. But we would have to move Q, Frazier, Robertson, Jones, Abreu for me to think we have a chance at #1. Agree. We are still kinda far from being worse than Reds, Brewers, A's, Padres, Phillies and Braves (most likely).
  11. QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 07:01 PM) McMahon struggled a bit at AA in 2016. Not sure he is any better than Trey M. I still think Rockies are more interested in Abreu than Q. They would have to move an OF to put Desmond back out there.
  12. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 06:25 PM) Stubbs is ranked #10 in Baseball America's rankings for the Astros. Is that updated or an old list? I saw him listed as 30 on mlb.com.
  13. When is LeMahieu a free agent? If Rodgers bat is really good, they'll find another position for him.
  14. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 09:51 AM) The more I look the more I want a deal to go down with Colorado. And they have more than enough depth to pull it off too, a lot of high picks and talent in their organization. Brendan Rodgers, Raimel Tapia, David Dahl, Riley Pint, Tom Murphy, Ryan McMahon, Kyle Freeland, Jordan Patterson, Garrett Hampson, Brian Mundell, Sam Hilliard, Ryan Castellani....a really good package of players could come out of that group. My only concern is if Rodgers is involved the deal would most likely be Rodgers, Pint, and 2 low level guys. That would be right in line with what we got for Sale, just not quite as good. And don't get me wrong, I'd be very happy with Rodgers but a depth package from Colorado where Roders isn't involved would also really entice me. Probably crazy and far fetched, but how insane wold Frazier be in Coors? Could be an interesting 1b option for them, I could see him hitting 50 in Coors no problem and the Rockies shattering the record for most HR's in a season. Frazier and Q for Rodgers, Pint, Tapia, McMahon, and Yency Almonte I would take that deal in a heartbeat. I really want Jansen to sign already. I feel like hes holding up a lot of potential dominoes that could fall.
  15. QUOTE (Ro Da Don @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 09:16 AM) I'm 24, 'bae' and 'lit' drive me absolutely crazy. I'm 25 and agree lol
  16. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 11:53 PM) What the f*** is up with this millennial new age term: "bae"? I'm a millenial (as a millenial is technically anyone under 30) and I hate it lol
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 11:21 PM) 100% agree. I really hope neither guy signs with the Dodgers, that would be the best case scenario for us. Jansen to Marlins and Turner wherever else (don't know who else has reported interest though) would be ideal.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 11:08 PM) I'm dying for a new rumor. I think Frazier and Robertson will move quickly once Turner and Jansen sign.
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 10:37 PM) Yeah, most interesting stuff was giolito but it also reinforced for me buckets line that deals getting done soon depends on other GMs not Hanna willingness to continue rebuild We need Jansen and Turner to sign soon. Looks like Jansen got married this weekend and Turner was there.
  20. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) I want to be optimistic, but this is way too far. The Indians, Royals, and Tigers will all have much better 2017 teams. The Twins might even have a better 2017 team. Personally, I'm hoping the White Sox have the 2018 #1 pick. That will require every team to be better than the 2017 White Sox. Not quite there yet but we're not done dealing yet either.
  21. QUOTE (Moncada @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 09:26 PM) I honestly believe that if the Sox trade Q for a great package then they will have a legit chance to improve on their finish from last year. I can see a 3rd place finish in the division or even 2nd depending on the performance of the prospects when they hit the big leagues. So we trade our 3 best players for prospects and we finish second place? I'll have what you're having.
  22. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 09:05 PM) Ken Rosenthal reported that he's coming over and he reported that after the new CBA was done. But these new rules do not work out in his favor, if he wants more money he should stay but he'd be taking a huge risk There was another report (forgot from who) after that report saying it was unlikey now.
  23. QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) Will someone please explain the $31.5 MM bonus? I thought it was paid at signing. If not, how much is left? Etc. I'm pretty certain they are paying it in 3 installments so about 1/3 of it is remaining.
  24. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) Probably could have had Devers if we paid Moncada's $30M? How many prospects is that $30M worth. Red Sox aren't even paying him $30 mill. He's owed about ten.
  25. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) What ever it takes to sign Shoei Otani, they should do. Really good chance he isn't coming over next year as he would be restricted.
