  1. The move to use Hendricks in the 8th was a big W for me last night. I’m a big believer in putting your best reliever in a spot where the game needs to be saved the most, and that isn’t always the 9th. Now, once it got to 12-6 I was open to them pulling him for another RP to make him available today, but I also understand how baseball works, costing Hendricks a save is probably not going to go over well and he just as easily could of had a 1-2-3 ninth, but Liam made it harder on himself than it probably needed to be. I also agree with Stone and Jason last night that I'm not sure Hendricks throws the same type of pitches to Ohtani if it's a one run game. Maybe, but it's just a different situation when you have a big cushion. Either way, I've been very pleased with TLR in the first two games. The tendencies he's showing early are very encouraging.
  2. I'm on the East Coast this week and having two close games in Game 1 and 2 has kept me up until 1am both nights after long days...not ideal. Come home, White Sox.
  3. It's been two games and I was in and out of the broadcast yesterday....but thus far I've been very happy with how TLR has managed in-game. I've agreed with almost all of decisions.
  4. Ok, now maybe you take out Hendricks lol
  5. I really think that played a role, I thought he looked pretty solid up until this inning. Not an excuse, but still
  6. Feels like Keuchle has been sitting for like an hour...
  7. In Maddon's defense....LH'ers have very little chance against the Sox lol
  8. Great slide by Eaton
  9. This is going well. Quite well.
  10. Dallas looks fantastic.
  11. That one was for Eloy, lol #RIP
  12. I really don't think that's the case with Nick. I don't want to speak for everyone....but if Madrigal hits for a high average, shows good defense and plays smart, all things we were told about over and over and over again.....then he met expectations. Thus far....he has shown 1 out of the 3. That's not enough for a guy that will probably stay around a .750 OPS. I hope we see the other traits come out. He still has plenty of time. But thus far......hasn't been there at the ML level.
  13. I'm just glad we cleared that up.
  14. Don't you dare assume what my opinion is. I LOVE ANDREW VAUGHN
  15. No. Everyone in the game thread last night was almost unanimous that pulling Gio at that time was the right call, and something Gio wouldn't have done. Leury batting 6th and playing Opening Day was a valid question and he didn't do anything to prove TLR right. On the flip side, Eaton had a huge night. Most agreed Bummer got a raw deal last night and the defense let him down. It's one game. But a team with World Series aspirations needs to win those games on most nights. Especailly when the rotation has question marks at #4 and #5, you need to win the starts Gio leaves with a lead.
  16. Then why are both runs unearned for Bummer? If they aren't earned for Bummer...how is it his fault? Who earned those runs? Nicky?
  17. God Robert can make himself look awful.
  18. Keep shaking your head...maybe it will help you eventually. Shake hard.
  19. This is incredibly not important...but is that Boras behind home plate?
  20. Yep, this wasn't on Bummer tonight. He did more than enough to get them out of the inning with the lead.
  21. lol, come on. There was NO shot at getting him at the plate.
  22. Mike Trout is a decent excuse.
  23. This is what non-elite teams do, year after year after year. It's a one-run game. Aaron Bummer gave up two soft groundballs, Sox couldn't make either play. Mike Trout then hit a single. It should have been Trout standing on 1st with two outs right now, with Bummer getting the K on Rendon. But....that's not decent teams do.
