I expected them to lose a lot of games, but it’s possible to lose and still be entertaining, if that makes any sense. This has been hard to watch.

His war was down last year because he was hurt to begin the season and didn’t really have a healthy AB for the first couple months. He was probably the best hitter in baseball the las couple months of 2017 when he was back to normal. I’m not for or against signing him, just don’t see any major decline, or really any notable decline just yet.

In what world is Donaldson in a “major decline”?

I really don’t see the problem. He was just saying it’ll be easier to relax and work on certain things without pressing too hard or worrying about making the team. Barring some kind of disaster this spring, everyone knows the job is his.

His average FB velo was the highest of his career, so at the very least his arm seems healthy.
