I’ve been on the Alex Wood train for awhile. He’s left handed and coming off a bad year so the Sox could possibly get him on an inventive heavy 1 or 2 year deal. He could start the season in the rotation and then shift to the bullpen once Kopech and Rodon are ready, or maybe even stay in the rotation if he pitches well enough. He had a solid 2018 before getting hurt this year. He makes a lot of sense for this team as the second SP addition behind a guy like Wheeler.

Not a chance in hell I would trade anything significant for one year of Mookie Betts. Just sign him next offseason if they want him that badly.

Give me Wheeler, JD Martinez, a competent right fielder, a back end of the rotation starting pitcher, and a reliever and I'll be happy.

It’s annoying, but I’m not going to complain too much. Yoan/Tim/Eloy are the main reasons why this team has been winning lately, and I’d rather have them playing well resulting in the Sox having a worse draft pick opposed to them struggling resulting in a better pick.

The only way that makes even a bit of sense is if Betts would sign an extension. But even if he is, they might as well sign him as a free agent in a year and keep the prospects.

Sign both Grandal and Martinez. No reason why that can’t happen. Collins can be the backup C/1B/DH who plays 2-3 times a week to keep the other guys fresh.
