  1. Ricky is bad, but nowhere near as bad as Ventura was.
  2. Thoughts on the Stone/Paciorek broadcast tonight? I feel like they have no chemistry at all.
  3. The Sox can't have an employee that contributes something positive to the organization. That's against the rules.
  4. Was Cease really as bad as his line looks?
  5. I would be so damn happy if this happened. Maybe Acuña Jr's extension could be the baseline for Moncada and Blake Snell's for Giolito?
  6. Why is Matt Skole on this team?
  7. Because the Sox desperately need a quality right fielder and TA7 is the most likely guy to switch positions. But the Sox would just be better off keeping him where he is and signing an actual right fielder
  8. Agree with this. I think TA7 is athletic enough to play RF if the Sox were to sign someone like Gregorius to play SS. I wouldn't switch Moncada's position anymore though. He's the best player on the team and clearly comfortable at 3B. Don't mess with that.
  9. I don't think Cole would suddenly stop pitching at a high level once he leaves Houston and their pitching lab. But knowing our luck, he probably would if he signed with the Sox. Lol
  10. Bumgarner: career National leaguer + a ton of mileage on his arm Wheeler: not having that good of a season in the NL + a fairly lengthy injury history Hamels: old + wasn't good in the AL in the first half of last season Ryu: career National leaguer + injury history + doesn't have a track record of being a workhorse Strasburg: injury history + not a guarantee he'll even hit the free agent market Keuchel: not having that great of a season in the NL To me, it's Cole or bust. He makes the most sense for so many reasons
  11. Jose Ruiz has like one outing a month where he looks absolutely unhittable, and then sucks the rest of the time
  12. Stone is nothing but a shill for the front office these days
  13. Beard hasn't been able to hit at all so far. But at the very least, he could be our version of Terrance Gore in the postseason. He's that fast.
  14. I sound like a broken record at this point, but Collins should replace Castillo, Mendick should replace Yolmer, and Mercedes should replace Skole.
  15. I kinda want to see the Sox put Jimmy Cordero in a save situation at some point just to see how he does. He has really good stuff.
  16. Jay is almost as useless as Yonder was
  17. Not to mention Tim Anderson. He's probably at least a 3-4 WAR guy per season moving forward to. And Eloy will improve as well. Lots of good stuff.
  18. Giolito is filthy today.
  19. Odds Marshall blows this? I'd say pretty high.
  20. I was debating as to whether or not I should start Nova in my fantasy league. I decided to start him. That was not a good decision.
  21. Leury has far exceeded my expectations this offseason, but be should be the utility guy in 2020. A guy who plays 2-3 times a week all over the field when the starters need a day off. They need sign a legitimate right fielder, Leury Garcia is not that guy.
  22. Anyone know how to find out the Sox record when McCann is the starting catcher vs. when Castillo is? I bet there's a huge difference.
  23. Is Jimmy Cordero actually good?
