  1. Sox win and Sale gets win #13. WOOOOOOOO.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 08:40 PM) Congrats....stay away from pick up trucks and win CY next year
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 09:02 PM) Less BAPIP and more the HR ball killed him He also had a few starts where he gave up innings of 4, 5, 6 runs each. Eliminate some of those innings and his ERA will go back to normal next year. I'm not worried at all about him.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) If Sox want to contend he needs to be a top pitcher. No reason he can't get his ERA back down in the 2.3-2.6 range. Agreed. The BABIP monster killed him this year, but he still didn't have a bad season by any means.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) A full run is more than a little. I'd be content with a 250 K with a 3.10 ERA season for him next year.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 08:10 PM) Yep don't think it's a coincidence his best K year has led to a 3.5 era I'll take a slight decrease in K's if it can improve his ERA by a little bit next year.
  7. I've noticed that Sale is much more effective when he pitches to contact like he's been doing in the past inning or so. When he tries to strike everyone out, he tends to make mistakes with his fastball and then gives up homers.
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 06:29 PM) I have a feeling Sale gets lit up by this lineup. If he does, I will legitimately cry.
  9. Woop-de-doo. Robin should be next. #FireRobin
  10. Hawk is the only one that should have a guaranteed spot next year. He is a legend.
  11. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 1, 2015 -> 10:19 AM) Am I the only one who enjoys seasons that don't end up with the Sox in the playoffs? The last three years have sucked, but 2012 was fun, and 2006 and 2010 were great rides. Hell 2008 is actually a lot closer to 2005 for me than you might think just for Game 163 alone. I'd much rather have those types of seasons than the typical Marlins' season. Doesn't mean the Sox front office shouldn't be held accountable for not making the playoffs, but to me all non-playoff years are not the same. They're frustrating, sure (especially the end of 2012), but 2012 was still >>>>>> 2013. That's pretty much a given. You could go back all the way to 1901 and I would still think that 2013 was one of the worst years for the White Sox franchise ever. They were absolutely terrible from start to finish. I guess Rodon is a great reward for having to endure that trainwreck of a year though.
  12. These game threads are really pathetic at this point in the season.
  13. Avi comes up with the bases loaded and pops out. Typical.
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 07:34 AM) Yes, he would cost the team far more runs defensively in the infield than he has in RF. I can't see him being any worse at third than in right field, but's just me. Chances are that he'll be a horrible defender no matter where you put him. I don't see him improving much, either. He is better suited to be a DH, but he'll never get to that spot if he can't learn how to hit better.
  15. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 05:42 AM) Yep, Garcia's played 1 complete major league season and didn't hit .300 with 30 HR at the age of 24. Get rid of him, he's a bum. The funny thing is that people would love him if he put up those offensive numbers at second or third base instead of right field. I'd try and convert him to an infielder honestly. His defense couldn't be any worse than it is now.
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 08:04 PM) RBI 98 for JDA What does the "D" stand for? Dariel I'm assuming?
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 20, 2015 -> 08:19 AM) Warren changed QBs in Game 2 and have been putting up big pts ever since. Will probably upset Stevenson in 2 weeks. Who was their QB and who is their QB now?
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 11:29 AM) He's a goner this winter. How will he be gone? I don't think any other team would want him at this point. He's basically Viciedo 2.0 with less power.
  19. I still don't think the Sox would consider moving him right now unless the offer was absolutely too good to pass up.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 25, 2015 -> 08:08 PM) By that theory alone, they should go with Viciedo over Garcia. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to that at this point. This team desperately needs some pop.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 25, 2015 -> 07:59 PM) Couldn't believe Trayce was hitting third when I saw the line-up. Never would have predicted that before this season. Why exactly are we playing Olt and Beckham? We are playing him because he is capable of doing what he did just now 20 times a year.
