Who even fits into that category though? Micker will most likely have to go to a team that is rebuilding and those kind of teams wouldn’t trade those kind of pitchers away.

If there was a 2016 Chris Sale out there, then yeah I would trade Vaughn as part of a package. Problem is that guy doesn’t exist right now. Certainly not trading him for 2 years of Montas. That would be awful.

I think Lambert has potential to be a decent #4 or #5 eventually. Just not sure if he’s ready yet.

So we all know the Sox have interest in Manaea, but they might need even more if Lynn is out for awhile. Any other decent starting pitchers available? Maybe John Means? Thought I would start a thread for discussion purposes.

They shouldn’t have drafted him at all. His ceiling simply isn’t high enough for a #4 pick.

Yeah that didn’t happen when he was here at least. Him booting that ball in game 2 in Oakland was a big reason why the Sox lost that game (and subsequently the series). Not to mention he seemingly can’t stay healthy. Obviously it wasn’t a good trade but some of you act like is a star. He is not.

That’s the only guy I could think of as well but I’m not really sure if he’s even that much of an upgrade. Maybe Dinelson Lamet?
