You’d think EE would choose the Sox over the Jays if he wants a better chance to win.

They might purposely use him less next year to avoid it becoming guaranteed. It might actually be beneficial for both sides because using him less would probably keep him healthier.

Cesar Hernandez had a much better season last year than I thought. That’s a signing I could get behind.

Who would that be? Cesar Hernandez to take Yolmer’s role?

Who even fits that criteria? It wouldn’t be Castellanos, Ozuna, or Encarnacion. Steven Souza Jr maybe?

I like the idea of McHugh as a swingman. The Sox will have a lot of starting pitching options once Kopech and Rodon come back but you can never have too much pitching. And since Keuchel was his former teammate, McHugh might want to come here.

Color me skeptical. If Keuchel really agreed to a deal with the Sox, you’d think one of the big name reporters would have some info on it.

Don’t know if it’s realistic or not, but if the Sox could get Price for like 3/60 after Boston eats some of his contract while still getting Benintendi, I’d be all over that assuming Madrigal/Vaughn aren’t in the deal.

Um...because it would be silly to burn a year of team control for like 2 weeks worth of games for Robert/Madrigal, and in Kopech’s case, it makes sense to start him of slowly in the minors considering he’s coming off a major surgery.

If the Sox were going to trade Madrigal/Vaughn, don’t you think it would be a much better idea to trade them for a cost controlled starting pitcher instead of a 3rd baseman on a huge contract, especially considering the Sox already have a star 3rd baseman making pennies?

They should’ve just signed Rendon if they wanted an impact bat.

Anderson is under cheap team control for a long, long time. That matters to a team like Cleveland. And they could sell the trade to their fans by saying they just acquired the AL batting champ while getting some prospects in the process. But it only makes sense for the Sox if Lindor signs an extension.

Not that it will ever happen, but Anderson + a couple smaller pieces for Lindor (if he signs an extension) would be interesting. Lindor would replace Anderson at SS and the Sox could keep Madrigal at 2B.

What would a Lindor extension even look like? 8/240?
