  1. I'm a season ticket holder also. Judging by what I've seen on WHITESOX.Com/tickets there doesn't appear to be that many season ticket holders. I thought there would a bump after last years division championship. It doesn't appear like they didn't get much of a bump in season ticket sales. I can't help but wonder how many season ticket holders they have.
  2. I can't help but wonder what the attendance for the White Sox and other MLB teams is going to be this 2022 season. With gas prices and inflation going thru the roof I can't help but think that the attendance is not going to be that good this year. I'm no spring chicken and I've never seen inflation like this in my lifetime. Most people are not going to have that much disposable income on baseball games. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  3. LaRussa just said that Kimbrel will be on the White Sox Opening Day roster.
  4. I can't believe any team would take Kimbrel. Nor can I see the White Sox getting anything decent for him. I hope I'm wrong. We shall see.
  5. I read where the TV money starts to kick in for the owners after the 28th game. If that's true it would appear that baseball won't start until the first week of May.
  6. Former MLB manager Lou Piniella was on Tv yesterday and said that the owners are dug in and they are prepared for a long lockout.
  7. In 1994 during the MLB strike I think the MLB owners took out strike insurance and the owners got paid millions of dollars as long as the players were on strike. This is a lockout, not a strike. Still, I wonder if the owners have some type of insurance that pays them money as long as the lockout continues.
  8. They're not meeting tomorrow. Monday is the last day of the meetings.
  9. I noticed that the Orioles, Brewers, Mets and Rays have released their promotional/giveaway dates. They must think the season is going to start on time. That being said i hope the White Sox release their promotional/giveaway dates.
  10. Larry Himes did a tremendous job with the White Sox. JR showed his appreciation by firing him. After JR fired him he went on every TV and radio station and badmouthed Himes relentlessly.
  11. I've always wondered what made JR replace Hemond with Ken Harrelson as the White Sox GM.
  12. I saw him at Soxfest a few years ago. I told him he should write a book about his MLB career. He never did. He told me the worse thing he saw in his career was how Harry Caray and Jimmy Piersall dumped all over Tony Larussa.
  13. Mellody Hobson (wife of George Lucas) bought 30% of the White Sox a few weeks ago. I wonder if she and her husband are the future owners of the team.
  14. It was rumored that the White Sox wanted to extend Madrigals contract and he refused. When he wouldn't go for an extended contract, Hahn traded him.
  15. I always thought his low home run total (185/195) has kept him out of the HOF.
  16. Paul Sullivan has said that the Dodgers are going to sing Kris Bryant.
  17. I never liked the trade of Madrigal. Its done and over with, what now? Maybe Hahn thought Hernandez would do well here and his 2022 option would be picked up. He didn't do well here and I would think his option won't be picked up. Wil Hahn sign a free agent or trade for a second baseman? All I know is the team has a big hole at second base and something has to be done about it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  18. Nobody seems to mention that Eloy was bad offensively the last month of the season. I don't know what happened. He seemed to have lost his power. Was he hurt? I hope he regains his power in 2022. If not, he's not going to help the team much.
  19. If Hahn leaves I'll write JR another letter requesting to be interviewed for the GM job.
  20. Ill never forget how JR spoke about Larry Himes after he was fired. JR went on all the TV and Radio shows and dumped all over Himes relentlessly.
  21. WBWSF replied to loidwalden's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If they bring back Kimbrel his option would be $16 million. If they let him walk theres a $1 million buyout.
  22. WBWSF replied to loidwalden's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would think that the White Sox won't pickup Kimbrels option. They also won't pickup Ceasars option. That being said, who will be the second baseman for the White Sox in 2022?
  23. I think its fair to assume that Cesars option won't be picked up by the White Sox.
  24. Its much more affordable as compared to the team on the Northside. I just hope they keep it affordable and I hope they don't keep raising the prices in the future.
