Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
In the mid 1980s the City of Chicago wanted to build a stadium in the South Loop (Roosevelt and Clark, now known as block 78). there was talk of a football stadium next to it for the Bears. The Bears held a press conference and said they wouldn't go in together with the White Sox, The Bears historical roots were with the Cubs. JR and the Bears had bad blood between them. JR stiffed them on some business deal and the Bears didn't like it or JR. Its a shame it didn't workout Two stadiums in the South Loop would have been tremendous. Of course I never believed that JR wanted to go into the South loop. He wanted to go to Addison where he owned the land where the stadium would have been built. I remember a few years ago the White Sox announced they were leaving there spring training facility in Sarasota Florida and moving it to Tucson Arizona. Just so happened that JR owned the land in Tucson where the stadium was built.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
One of the key figures is dead. Eddie Einhorn was the main person who wanted to move the White Sox to Florida. He wanted out of here. He didn't like playing 2nd fiddle to the Cubs. During that whole process Einhorn made so many bad comments about the White Sox fan base he was getting threats on his life. Einhorn then hired body guards to protect himself. Einhorn also said that Florida was the best opportunity for MLB since the Dodgers moved to LA in 1958. How has baseball worked out in St.Pete? They've already had 4 ownerships there. If they don't get another stadium they're going to move out of there. When the White Sox agreed to stay in Chicago Einhorn sold most of his White Sox stock to JR. Einhorn left the scene after that. He was rarely here in Chicago after 1989.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
If JR/or his sons still own the White Sox in 2026-2027 some people seem to think he will just extend the lease on the present stadium. He has a sweetheart deal and is making nothing but money. If he gets the same deal he just might extend the lease.

The lease is up in 2029.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
Willie Wilson is running for Mayor of Chicago. He realizes that the Bears are going to move to the suburbs. Wilson has said that Chicago should get another NFL team and have them play in Soldier field.

Are you buying a LHH ar the deadline?
Hope Hahn acquires another starting pitcher. A lefty starter if possible.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
Wirtz is a White Sox fan and part owner of the White Sox. (He owns a small percentage of the White Sox) Wirtz actually goes to some White Sox games. He actually likes baseball more than hockey. People who work for the White Sox have speculated for years that he wants to be the owner. We shall see. I'm sure that JR already knows who will buy the White Sox from his family.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
There have been rumors for years that the Wirtz family will be the next owners of the White Sox. They would then build a stadium near the United Center.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
In the mid 1980s, the City of Chicago wanted to build a new stadium for the White Sox in the South Loop at Roosevelt and Clark. (Now known as block 78) JR rejected the offer and wanted the new stadium built in Addison, where he owned the land. That South loop location is still open. Maybe the next ownership will build it there.

Will the Sox ever outdraw the Cubs again?
1) Will the Angels ever outdraw the Dodgers? Will the Mets ever outdraw the Yankees? Will Oakland ever outdraw the Giants? 2) Will the White Sox ever outdraw the Cubs? As long as the White Sox play at this present location in this present stadium, probably not. Building this stadium at the present location was the biggest mistake in the modern history of the franchise. Then they built a stadium where nobody wants to sit in most of the upper deck. If the Cubs played at the present White Sox stadium does anybody really think they would be drawing like they do now? 3) I'm hoping when this team gets new ownership a new stadium will be built in a more popular location and the stadium will have a upper deck that fans will want to sit in. 3) I think the present stadium lease runs out after the 2028 season. It will be curious to see how this plays out.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX GET TO .500 WINNER OVER THE TWINKIES
Its been a tough year. This winning is certainly more fun.

7/9- Tigers at White Sox, 1:10
I want Eloy in the lineup.
-
Sooooo.....who are you selling?
Lopez has said a number of times that he wants to be a starter in the rotation. I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up back in the White Sox starting rotation next year.

JR
Most teams are down attendance wise. Inflation, gas prices are brutal. I've never seen anything like this in my life. I'm under the impression that alot of people are living on their credit cards. White Sox are going to draw between 1.8 million-2 million which isn't bad considering everything.

JR
It would be easier to replace the manager than change the team. All I know, something has to be done.

JR
It seems like JR has disappeared from the scene. He doesn't give interviews anymore. He was the one who hired TLR. I can't help but wonder what JR thinks of this present team. Assuming he has been watching these games, he has to be upset. I can't help but wonder what if anything is going to be done. I find it hard to believe that nothing is going to be done to correct this situation. The team not only has a losing record, the team is dull.

White Sox Interested in Mahle/Castillo?
Being at yesterdays game was alot of fun. Most games I've been to this year have bored me to death because of the lack of hitting. Having Eloy in the lineup producing helps the team tremendously. Hopefully he can continue hitting and the team will be in the hunt for the playoffs. I'm hoping the White Sox become buyers instead of sellers at the dealine.

Rick Hahn - Mastermind of Failure
1) I wrote JR a few letters in the past requesting to be interviewed for the GM job. I never heard back from him. Perhaps I should write him another letter. 2) Assuming this team doesn't get into the playoffs this year this off season could get very interesting. From what I can see you could probably get a good return for the following players: Anderson, Vaughn, Robert, Cease and Hendriks. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved Anderson.

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
I'm glad to see Eloy come back. Perhaps he can provide some power for this team. The team is boring to watch. Maybe Eloy can ignite this team. I've noticed that Burger is not playing anymore. Looks like he'll be sent down when Eloy comes back.

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
Hopefully Eloy can come back and hit some home runs for the White Sox. The team needs his power. They're not hitting any home runs.

Notice: We're about to get hot
The White Sox are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!

Can the White Sox right the ship without making any major moves?
You can't expect to win many games when 4 and sometimes 5 of your hitters in the lineup can't hit. Driving to the game today i heard Bruce Levine say that the team is going to add pitching at the trading deadline. If this team doesn't get some more hitting this is going to be a lost season. Maybe management thinks it will get better when Moncada, Eloy and Grandal come back. By the time all 3 of them come back this team might be out of first place by 10 games.

SOX GT 6/24 - BEGINNING OF A 3 GAME WIN STREAK
What changes would they make? TLR is not getting fired. Some of their key players (Eloy, Moncada and Grandal) are hurt. They can't up anybody from the farm system to help them either.
-
SOX GT 6/24 - BEGINNING OF A 3 GAME WIN STREAK
Corpsball is back. The team has struggles offensively all year. If Eloy, Grandal and Moncada had performed as expected the team wouldn't be in this position. Does anybody know when Eloy, Grandal and Moncada are coming back? I don't see anybody being called up from the farm system who can help the team. They just brought up Sheets and he has done nothing offensively. Baltimore, which is suppose to be a bad team has now won as many games as the White Sox.

What the hell is wrong with Giolito?
I thought that once Lynn came back this rotation would be enough to get the team into the playoffs. A rotation of Lynn, Cueto, Cease, Kopech and Giolito should get it done. Looks like Giolito is tanking beyond belief. If he keeps getting beat up I wonder if Hahn will try to trade for another starting pitcher. If so, i hope its sooner rather than later.
