Time for some changes, Rick
If Colome is traded, I'm expecting more prospects in return.

RIP Barry Latman, 1959 Pitcher
John Romano, and Don Mincher. The Latman trade was another dumb trade by Bill Veeck. He traded Latman for Herb Score. Score was never able to get anybody out. Scores best days were behind him.

Toronto (18-26) v. Chicago (21-23) - 5/19/19 - 1:10 PM
I understand why Alonso is playing every day. ($9 million dollar contract) I simply can't understand why McCann isn't playing every day. Its almost as if the team is losing on purpose.

Blue Jays of Toronto vs Ricky Renteria's Southside Buntmen | May 17th | 7:10pm CT |
I get the impression that JR and Hahn don't really care about winning. This tanking/losing on purpose is fine with them. Most of there starting pitchers can't get anybody out, but yet they won't bring up Cease. Score announcer (and White sox fan) Mike Mulligan said the other day the White Sox could have easily signed Gio Gonzalez for a mere $2 million dollars and they didn't even try to sign him. If Hahn had acquired a couple of good starting pitchers this team would have contended in this weak division. Always keep in mind that this franchise is making nothing but money with losing/low payroll teams.

Hahn On Tatis Jr. Trade
Hahn certainly isn't interview shy but he is plainly full of shit. I've seen him a number of times in person at season ticket seminars and at Soxfest. If you ask him a question he doesn't like, he will talk endlessly but he won't answer your question. He does seem to be a very happy guy and he should be. He has the worse won-loss record of any MLB GM the last 6 years and he still has his high paying job. If he had been working for virtually any other MLB team he would have been fired 3 years ago.

Hahn On Tatis Jr. Trade
I'm surprised that White Sox fans still get upset by comments made by Hahn. His record as Gm is so bad that I simply don't pay any attention to him anymore. Last season I was invited to a season ticket seminar/chalk talk and Hahn was the speaker. I didn't go. I've seen him in person a number of times and for my own emotional well being I have no intention of ever hearing speak in person again.

Sox vs Indians 5/14 1:10PM CT
With all this talk during the off season of the team signing Machado/Harper I was hoping they would spend some money on 2 starting pitchers. 2 good starting pitchers could have made the team much better and in this division they could have possibly gone to the playoffs. They knew Kopech wasn't pitching this season and Rodon was horrible the last month of the 2018 season. They should have added some pitching instead of Banuelos and Covey.

This tanking/losing on purpose is really bad. Whenever you have Banuelos and Covey starting you're basically tanking/losing on purpose. Everybody wants Cease up with the team now. Instead they keep pitching Banuelos and Covey. The White Sox have a tough 7 game road trip next week at Houston and Minnesota. As it stands now, Banuelos and Covey will be starting 4 of those games. It should be ugly.

OVERVIEW FOR 2020
I don't expect the White Sox to sign any big free agents in the off season or make any trades to help the team. This team is being put together from their farm system. This rebuild is going to be done as cheaply as possible. I just hope it works out. Somebody posted a few days ago that Hahn should extend Moncada with a $200 million dollar extension. I'll believe that when I see it.

THE NEXT TWELVE WEEKS
I would do backflips if Colome was traded and they received a good player in return. Not a bust like they received for Robertson.
-
THE NEXT TWELVE WEEKS
Colome might be one of our best tradeable resources but I just hope the team has somebody who can close out games if he 's traded. I don't want to go another year and a half without a closer. I also don't want him traded for nothing like Hahn traded Dave Robertson for nothing.
-
THE NEXT TWELVE WEEKS
I hope that Colome stays with the White Sox. He has been the only good closer the team has had since Dave Robertson.

Sox @ Jays: 6:07pm CT
Can we DFA JR, Hahn and Renteria?

Sox @ Jays: 6:07pm CT
ALonso and Castillo are in the lineup not hitting their weight and McCann (hitting .350) is on the bench. Kind of makes you wonder if this team is losing on purpose.

Abreu trade value?
I would call Rutherford absolutely nothing now. Rutherford has no future with the White Sox, none. I doubt if he even makes it to the Big Leagues. They say it takes 2-3 years to judge a trade. The Robertson trade was another of Hahns bad trades.

Abreu trade value?
Some of the things done by Hahn have baffled me for as long as he has been the GM. In 2017 he traded David Robertson for absolutely nothing. Steve Stone said the trade was done for some salary relief. Hahn will then turnaround and spend millions of dollars on bums like Jay and Alonso.

This is the last year on Stones contract. Rumor has it that AJ Pierzynski will be his replacement if Stone decides to retire after this season.

BASEBALL AS ENTERTAINMENT
You're right, there is nothing to get excited about pitching wise. I think its insane that Cease hasn't been brought up. He would be on virtually every MLB team now. He's the only White Sox pitcher now who you could get anything for in a trade. You couldn't get a decent return for any of the other starting pitchers on the team and Hahn won't bring Cease up. This tanking/losing on purpose is really bad.

adam engel or charlie tilson?
If Hahns kid is on this site and is willing to give his father some valuable insights, here's another one. Have his father resign immediately.

Do you look at Jose Abreu at "32" the same way you looked at Paul Konerko at 34?
Keep in mind that Hahn gave a 34 year old Adam LaRoche a 2 year $24 million dollar contract. Why not give a 32 year old Abreu the same 2 year contract?
