  1. I don't see his jersey move in the replay, I don't think he touched him.
  2. It really is crazy seeing Rodon consistently hit 98 when it wasn't that long ago where he was struggling to hit 90.
  3. Sox have the 2nd best wRC+ with RISP this season. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=1&season=2021&month=29&season1=2021&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2021-01-01&enddate=2021-12-31&sort=16,d
  4. No problem with Yermin swinging, that ball was right down the middle.
  5. I don't understand why you keep insisting that the Twins haven't already thrown at him. Why would they do it again?
  6. Has there even been one player in baseball that has come out in support of LaRussa?
  7. Personal responsibility like not expecting your opponent to stop trying to protect your fragile ego just because you've played a terrible game?
  8. Ah yes, sportsmanship is when you send the message to your opponent that “We’re beating you so bad we don’t need to even try against you”.
  9. So the younger generation are the snowflakes and not the old dinosaurs that get offended and throw childish tantrums over the most benign shit like swinging on a 3-0 count? Pure projection.
  10. Yes I'll never understand why it's up to the players on the winning team in a blowout to sacrifice their stats.
  11. You still haven't explained the reasoning why swinging on 3-0 is wrong but 3-1 is OK besides "just because".
  12. FWIW, Sox rank 2nd in the MLB to the Rockies in UZR and 11th according to DRS. It's just that when they fuck up it's more visible so it seems worse than it is.
  13. Lynn has had to throw something like 30 extra pitches over the last two starts because of the defense.
  14. Amazing how this team continues to be able to score 9+ runs even as they keep losing good hitters.
  15. Wasn’t it a 7 game homestand? The first three games of that stretch were in KC.
  16. April numbers: .255/.364/.362, 12.7% BB%, 30.9 K%, .106 ISO, .400 BABIP, 115 wRC+ May numbers: .276/.405/.448, 16.2% BB%, 13.5% K%, .172 ISO, .292 BABIP, 147 wRC+ He's also increased his contact rate from 65% to 77%. Not only has he cut his strikeout rate by more than half, but he's no longer reliant on a high BABIP to fuel most of his line and he's hitting the ball harder as well. His improvement in just a month is already so impressive.
  17. His May strikeout rate is less than half his April K-rate and he's almost doubled his ISO while maintaining a great walk rate. We are really blessed with rookies this year.
  18. When Eloy comes back, I'm not going to worry about having too many good hitters, we'll be able to make it work.
  19. Fantastic piece of hitting there, he really seems like the real deal.
