  1. Bummer was probably not available today for some reason, it doesn't make much sense otherwise.
  2. Yeah I want Ruiz in high-leverage situations going forward, but maybe not his first one on his third straight day of work.
  3. Collins was probably thinking that he saved a run not throwing it to first there (half-joking)
  4. Lamb is singlehandedly disproving the idea that if you can play any other position on the diamond then you should be able to handle 1B.
  5. They have played 7 games since Robert went down and scored 9 runs in 5 of them. This is crazy.
  6. Watching Hamilton run the bases right there, it's a shame he has never been able to be remotely a good hitter. If he were he'd have been one of the most exciting players in the game.
  7. Yes let's complain about a 115 wRC+ out of the catcher spot.
  8. When he was struggling recently Giolito was still getting strikeouts and swinging strikes but he’s not missing any bats right now.
  9. I’ve been in the “Giolito is fine” camp, but this start has finally shaken me. Hopefully it’s just a rough patch.
  10. If one of our biggest problems is a guy with a .400 OBP, I’ll take that every time.
  11. Yes. The top five teams in runs scored are BOS, LAD, HOU, ARI, and STL. The White Sox have scored 3 runs or fewer in 13 games. For those other teams: BOS: 14 games LAD: 15 games HOU: 14 games ARI: 12 games STL: 15 games
  12. This is just cherry picking. You can do this with pretty much any team and find similar results.
  13. There are a lot of hitters who never adjust against the shift and none of them run .121 BABIPs, it's pretty silly to say he's not been unlucky.
  14. His current walk rate is over double his already very good career walk rate, it's insane. He's swinging the bat less than 25% of the time and they're just not throwing strikes to him.
  15. It's only felt like the Sox offense is underperforming and disappointing because offense as a whole across baseball is way down. Relatively they've been good from the start of the season.
  16. Over the first two weeks of the season they were 7th in baseball in wRC+ and 7th in runs scored. They had the longest streak of any team in scoring at least 3 runs per game to start the season. They've never been bad. Yeah they've had a few bad games offensively but name a team that hasn't.
  17. The Sox are 4th in baseball in wRC+ and rated 3rd defensively. I don't understand why people here think the offense has been bad.
  18. Before Robert went down the Sox were #1 in the MLB in wRC+. They'll only increase their lead after tonight. His injury will definitely hurt but without him it's not like the lineup is AAA quality.
  19. Also is walking more than he's striking out and has a .342 OBP despite hitting .123, he's hitting grounders to the right side a bit too much but he's still been really unlucky and even with that he's still getting on base at an above average rate. Not worried.
  20. Grandal now has 16 walks to 14 strikeouts on the season and his average exit velocity is a career best by almost 3 mph. I’m not worried about him.
  21. After last night, the White Sox are now 1st in MLB in fWAR among position players, 6th among pitchers and are 2nd in defense.
  22. Giolito isn't pitching well at all, but outside of the first batter the Red Sox haven't hit anything hard, so many soft singles.
