  1. Amazing how this team continues to be able to score 9+ runs even as they keep losing good hitters.
  2. Wasn’t it a 7 game homestand? The first three games of that stretch were in KC.
  3. April numbers: .255/.364/.362, 12.7% BB%, 30.9 K%, .106 ISO, .400 BABIP, 115 wRC+ May numbers: .276/.405/.448, 16.2% BB%, 13.5% K%, .172 ISO, .292 BABIP, 147 wRC+ He's also increased his contact rate from 65% to 77%. Not only has he cut his strikeout rate by more than half, but he's no longer reliant on a high BABIP to fuel most of his line and he's hitting the ball harder as well. His improvement in just a month is already so impressive.
  4. His May strikeout rate is less than half his April K-rate and he's almost doubled his ISO while maintaining a great walk rate. We are really blessed with rookies this year.
  5. When Eloy comes back, I'm not going to worry about having too many good hitters, we'll be able to make it work.
  6. Fantastic piece of hitting there, he really seems like the real deal.
  7. Bummer was probably not available today for some reason, it doesn't make much sense otherwise.
  8. Yeah I want Ruiz in high-leverage situations going forward, but maybe not his first one on his third straight day of work.
  9. Collins was probably thinking that he saved a run not throwing it to first there (half-joking)
  10. Lamb is singlehandedly disproving the idea that if you can play any other position on the diamond then you should be able to handle 1B.
  11. They have played 7 games since Robert went down and scored 9 runs in 5 of them. This is crazy.
  12. Watching Hamilton run the bases right there, it's a shame he has never been able to be remotely a good hitter. If he were he'd have been one of the most exciting players in the game.
  13. Yes let's complain about a 115 wRC+ out of the catcher spot.
  14. When he was struggling recently Giolito was still getting strikeouts and swinging strikes but he’s not missing any bats right now.
  15. I’ve been in the “Giolito is fine” camp, but this start has finally shaken me. Hopefully it’s just a rough patch.
  16. If one of our biggest problems is a guy with a .400 OBP, I’ll take that every time.
  17. Yes. The top five teams in runs scored are BOS, LAD, HOU, ARI, and STL. The White Sox have scored 3 runs or fewer in 13 games. For those other teams: BOS: 14 games LAD: 15 games HOU: 14 games ARI: 12 games STL: 15 games
  18. This is just cherry picking. You can do this with pretty much any team and find similar results.
  19. There are a lot of hitters who never adjust against the shift and none of them run .121 BABIPs, it's pretty silly to say he's not been unlucky.
