I don't care what happens with Cease.

All this stadium talk is nothing but a distraction to how bad this team is, and the fact that we don't know when it will get better.

Before the city or state provides any funding for a new stadium, the White Sox should show they are willing to invest in their team. Other words, no more tanking, no more slashing of payroll. Spend on the farm system, spend on free agents. Why should they get a money-making stadium just so we can see guys like Gavin Sheets play right field?

I don't care about the stadium issue one iota. What difference does it make where they are playing if they still stink?

The fight was a symptom of many problems, some created by Tim, and probably some created by the White Sox. His decline is sad for both.

Love is a talented player who put on a great performance, but Dallas was terrible. The only time I see receivers that open is when the Bears defense is on the field. That game was pathetic.

This is what you get when you really don't have a major league roster. Just get bodies in there because you have no one else. Next season has the potential to be more embarrassing than the last one.

Appears that the Sox are signing placeholders to give younger players a time to develop. That isn't all that bad, but we know this team won't be even contending in a bad division for a time. Maybe by 2027 this will be a winning team.

The Sox had some real talented players during the 90's. Not so much now.

Perhaps Getz will turn out to be a good FO man. But this is a small-market team, and there will be only so much he can do. Yes, they're fortunate to be in the AL Central, but what does that even mean? The Sox have won division title in the last 15 years.

The owners have no credibility right now. Over the years seasons have been delayed, interrupted and cancelled due to work stoppages. Then there is the Ohtani deal and other mega rich deals. If they are so poor, they wouldn't be throwing money around like this. And, of course, one that is not throwing money around is Jerry Reinsdorf. The Sox have never been good with the PR thing. Someone usually says the wrong thing or offends the fan base in some way. Regardless, I had a booth in the vendors area there some years ago, and vowed I would never return.

Maybe he can help with the next tank job.

All I know is I see a lot of losing ahead. Don't know when the winning will start, but it won't be next year.

The White Sox are tanking it again, pure and simple. As far as having a winning season, no one knows when that will happen.

At the rate they're going, the White Sox won't be truly competitive until 2027. Sign placeholders to get time to bring up prospects. Then wait for prospects to develop. And some of them won't. 2025 marks 20 years since the World Series. Time flies when you're losing.

I have nothing against him getting frustrated or even angry. He is not the first player to slam a helmet or throw a bat. But don't scapegoat the refs for a loss. No one gets the benefit of every call.

Fedde may work out, and perhaps the Sox are heading in the right direction. But I have little patience for three more losing seasons, and that is what we are going to get. Hope springs eternal has never been a motto of mine. I don't see the Sox ever competing in the free agent market. Rebuilding alone isn't going to do it.

Mahomes is acting like a self-entitled crybaby. The rules don't stop being the rules just because it is late in the game. Football can be frustrating because some infractions don't affect the play. But the penalty was the right call. I remember a play in a playoff game when the Chiefs had the ball inside the five with no timeouts and time running out in the half. Mahomes should have thrown a pass in the end zone and, if incomplete, KC would have a FG attempt. Instead, he throws it to a guy at the two. The receiver can't get in the end zone and time runs out with KC getting nothing. After the game, Mahomes wouldn't admit the mistake. He is a great player so he can get away with this stuff. And he will get away with it. But he had no right to blame the officials. At least not on this call.

I would be curious to see the Sox response if the Cubs did get Ohtani. Would they continue on their snail-paced rebuild or would they respond in a big way? They are barely on the radar screen now. Really, why should anyone care about the White Sox right now? Getz is our savior?
