I'm all for the Sox taking a flyer on Chris Archer if its not too expensive. Should be healthy again and probably better than 2018. I would imagine numbness in his fingers had to affect his command. He would probably want to play for the Sox if all else is equal.

Terry Francona. I still think it will happen when his contract is up. After that, JR and TLR can watch the games together upstairs.

Has anyone thought they may bring in a very experienced bench coach? Even maybe an ex-manager for bench coach, and give the top job to Paul Konerko?

I honestly think JR wouldn't hire either one of those guys. He's has always had a thing about character counting. He'd buy out Francona's contract before that happens.

I some times wonder what kind of person i'd be if I had a skill that made me invaluable. No way to know.

Next year we add Dunning, Stiever, Crochet, Kopech and Vaughn. To me, that looks like a roster to contend for the World Series. Could be a 5-7 year run better than any this team has ever had in 120+ years.

Moncada looks to be just about back. Mazara got sick later than YM. It probably is too late for this year for NM. It would be a foolish thing to release a guy his age because of an unusual illness. Time will tell if he bounces back.
