Agreed. I think he gets shopped if Seager OR Taylor are re-signed but his value seems hard to peg since he was a former top prospect who hasn't done much is 2-3 seasons.

Can we allocate another 8 million to another reliever when we have many other holes to fill and likely a limited budget?

I am not mad. We will just have to see how the rest of the reliver market turns out because this seems long and expensive based on his career.

This seems very expensive, and long for a reliever with no track record. Hopefully he made some legit changes that appear to have made a permanent difference.

The pen now consists of: Hendricks, Bummer, Gravemen, Crochet, Ruiz, Burr and then Kopech in the playoffs. I really would like another bullpen arm added. I am also assuming here that Kimbrel is gone.

I think we'd be hard pressed to sign two relievers at ~8 mil this offseason.

I was under the impression most people were fine with Madrigal ++ or Crochet ++ but not Vaughn/Kopech. Now would I have done Madrigal + Crochet? I don't remember. Hindsight makes it hard to remember.
