I am all for moving him to bullpen. He was great in the bullpen years ago. Maybe for some reason thats better for him mentally

He had a 4million buy out. So someone trading for him would have to take his remaining contract for the final 3 months AND the 4 million option. He wasn't THAT good to take that on.

Clevenger signing makes perfect sense. We need innings. He will provide fine innings and maybe if he is good you can deal him for a flier.

I have slept on the trade.. And I feel the same way. Love Thorpe, Zavala and Iniarte are interesting. I still would have held until the deadline with this offer. Maybe theyre hoping Wilson is a dude and can have a strong half and then they deal him for a Berroa/Deloach type return like Santos.. Theoretically, doing that would make it Cease for Thorpe, Zavala, Iriarte, Berroa and Deloach.. Which is a much more palatable quantity trade.

C- honestly. i just wouldn’t have jumped on this offer. I love Thorpe too. But the 2nd piece is strongly lacking. Zavala is interesting and so confused at why a bullpen arm was added
