Chicago's asking price on Chris Sale, according to a rival exec, is "prohibitive". Understandable in this market.

Archer's price will be nearly as insane. And honestly, a team like Tampa is going hard-pressed giving up an affordable ace (if you assume his just a down year) with five years of control given their financial situation.

The sox may be incompetent but they're not that stupid to trade him for a Gallo package. If they were, that deal would've been made already.
