Why cross off Texas? Did they just make a trade for another pitcher?

Read the last article I posted. They really cant afford Sale without taking apart their lineup already riddled with injuries.

Good thing we have a plethora of position players available as well.

Gotcha.

Chicago's asking price on Chris Sale, according to a rival exec, is "prohibitive". Understandable in this market.

Thing is...they can probably get Archer and not have to give up two IFers

#Rangers and #WhiteSox have had trade discussions regarding Chris Sale in last 48 hours. I do not know if those talks have progressed.

Rays asking for more than Gallo for Archer

Archer's price will be nearly as insane. And honestly, a team like Tampa is going hard-pressed giving up an affordable ace (if you assume his just a down year) with five years of control given their financial situation.

Perception of some in industry is that Red Sox have the most prospect firepower to make a Chris Sale type trade, if they want.

Is it August 1st yet?

They can give up Gallo +. They just cant give up Gallo and Profar.

Morosi says sale not ill

Yeah, that sounds like BS to me, but who knows?

Offensively yes. Defensively he's below average.

The stats this year say it's actually the other way around.

Man it sounds like there's a decent chance this happens. Still I'd be stunned

Not sold on Gallo. Hope we swing a deal with Boston or Houston.

The only elite prospect that the Rangers have is Gallo, and, imo, he isn't that elite.

They have to put someone like mazara in there and that really isn't enough.

The sox may be incompetent but they're not that stupid to trade him for a Gallo package. If they were, that deal would've been made already.

Hahn and KW are so incompetent, I could see them doing a Sale package around Joc Pedersen and Trayce Thompson. That's the deal I'm calling. You heard it here first.
