The Dodgers are two innings away from losing 10 in a row.

That's why baseball is unpredictable and great.

Just lost #11 in a row. 9 inning Game ended about 30 minutes ago, about 4:12 AM Central

20 in a row for the Indians. Amazing.

Yet, all I care about is their inability to win 1 in a row last fall.

If they were healthy that series would have been over in five games instead of Theo being the best baseball mind since Abner Doubleday.

When Carrasco and Salazar both got hurt in September, nobody realized at the time how important that would become in Chicago.

The all time home run record for a MLB season should be broken tonight.

This is incredibly hard to believe, you would think the steroid/balco era would have run away with it

Weirdest part has to be these rookies coming up and continously breaking "fastest rate" records for home runs. The top line guys don't seem that out of the ordinary. But yeah, if ANderson was here in 2012 he'd probably have 8 home runs.

What makes you think there isn't something like that now. It doesn't appear so but you never know with what they can invent in a lab.

I think it's more the ball right now.

I have to admit, that is my first thought as well.

I think the ball is a huge factor right now. There is some credence to the idea that guys are lifting the ball a bit more, but there is no way that helps make up that big of a difference.

I think the juiced ball played a factor back then too. Homeruns league wide spiked pretty much overnight from 1995-1996. I don't think the league all just started using steroids at the same time.

That's very true, but now it seems so much more spread out. Back in the 90s they had multiple players breaking 60, getting 40 was no big deal, 50 was impressive but attainable. Now it just seems like everyone has 10-20 with one guy breaking 50 and only two at the moment with 40

I agree. that's why I said I think it's more the ball. However, never put anything past the chemists. They probably designed a new one not to be so obvious as to get caught by players heads actually increasing size.

Todd Frazier hit a foul ball that hit a young girl today. Hopefully she is ok, but it pisses me off when parents bring really young kids, let alone babies, to games and sit that close. It's time they have netting in every park. No excuses, MLB. It's time.

Where were they sitting? Closer in than dugout?

He pulled a liner over the 3rd base dugout, about 5 rows deep.

Sale vs O's up next.

Hoping the Halos win tonight to pick up a game on the Twinkies.

Following Joe Sheehan on Twitter had made baseball 150% more enjoyable.

Sale 300th k of the season. 1st time in AL since '99 (Pedro).

Chris Sale has 300 Ks for the year. At least one start left. It should be two, but I'd be surprised if he starts the penultimate regular season game for a Red Sox team that will be playoff bound.

Jason Martinez of Roster Resource was chatting on MLBTR last night and mentioned the Phillies only have $7 million guaranteed for next year's roster with very few guys in arbitration. That is impressive.

I would expect them to add a big free agent this off-season or next.
