Since the similarity of each at-bat has made me curious, here is an inventory of all of May's PAs:

K looking: 3

K swinging: 5

GO 4: 7

Sac bunt: 1

FO 8: 2

HBP: 1

BB: 1

GO 6: 2

GO 3: 2

Yep. In 24 PAs, he's grounded out to second almost 25% of the time, or four times as much as he hits the ball in the air.

While Garcia the best in baseball, May is the worst.

When does Melky come back, tomorrow? Is Willy capable of playing CF?

A) how much control does he have left and

B) who needs a corner outfielder?

Keep it up Avi!

Avi has two more years after this one.

I imagine it'd be a lot of Leury.

ANother series win!

If he has a good year I could see him signing an extension

David Robertson looks unreal right now. Just the ol' 18.00 K/9 and 0.00 BB/9.

April 2015 all over again.

6-5. Can't complain.

He's probably just young enough, but I can still see them capitalizing on a strong season and moving him. Honestly, though I get the feeling he won't be very good this year.

Hopefully Robertson continues to be strong to net more prospects.

Unless he makes drastic changes, Avi is the exact type of player they should go year to year with.

I would hope they'd cash in on prospects. I wouldn't want to bank on him being good for a while.

Turned the game off in the 7th only to see that the Sox came back and won! Nice! Good to see Avi finally turning it around

We can only hope he continues. Love our pitching.

White Sox option Willy Garcia to AAA Charlotte. Melky Cabrera will return from paternity leave tomorrow in NY.

Does Lip still think Avi should be released?

Lip is one of about 100 on here. More last year before it became apparent the Sox were rebuilding .Long way to go.

Avi murded that ball....

He is on fire atm

Abreu looking like he did for most of the first two months last year...

And Jacob May is still on the roster. Ugh.

If that inning doesn't convince you that Hawk is not the same I don't know what will.

Yeah, there is no doubt he is nearly blind now. It is sad really.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about Avi is that he is hitting so much better than the rest of the team. It isn't as though they have faced terrible pitching and everyone in the lineup were crushing the ball. Look at the averages of the rest of Sox. My confidence is growing daily, that he is finally coming into his own. I'm sure that his confidence is soaring, as well. I'm rooting for him and am thrilled to see him have some success.

I'm surprised it wasn't May - he really looks like he needs minor league seasoning.

He's already had that.

Avi now leading the league in average and on base percentage

And he wasn't that good in AAA.

He is showing that .662 AAA OPS wasn't a fluke.
