Eh, it is still in the second year of the rebuild.  The Sox are basically conducting open auditions for the bullpen at this point.  They really don't care about having a bullpen that can win games, but seeing if any of these guys have either value or use in the future.

I thought Hector Rondon and Oh were great options who ended up signing for cheap. Better chance of someone like Rondon performing well as closer and having trade value than Soria.

You should like Shields.  Instead of keeping that pesky prospect they went for it and picked up a vet who knows how to win.  How great does that look now.

On the bright side, I didn't go to this game.

Oh god, it is officially meatball weekend in the City of Chicago.

I love you Jose.

That send of Delmonico was idiotic.

Ugh.  Soria wasn't the target of that trade.  Avilan was.  They essentially got Avilan given to them because they were willing to take on Soria's salary, and make the rest of the deal work for LA and KC.

Agreed with this. Hope the Sox give Palka an extended look, he's earning it.

I didn't realized Palka has 121 dingers since 2015 season....

Another terrible send call.

That was...bad

another idiotic sending a runner home to kill an inning....

only to get compounded by Kyle fucking Schwarber being the one throwing you out....geezus.

What the hell Capra.  KYP

Give away some more outs geez.

Sox have killed two rallies with bad coaching today

?  I’m not sure what we disagree on.

Horrible coaching all around today. Not really surprised.

I'm not even watching, just reading, and I'm getting upset.

That send was Capraesque.

2 outs on the bases, 2 outs via trying to bunt out of the 15 total outs so far

This is what I'm talking about with Palka

Defense in 2018 worst in 2 decades and that's saying something.

Yikes.  Almost turned that into a triple.

If I had a beer I would cry in it

Everyone here wanted Rondon, but he signed with the World Series champs.  I doubt he was interested in joining a rebuilding club and pitching half his games at the Rate.  Don’t have much to say about Oh to be honest.

This pitching staff gives up way too many hits with 2 strikes.

If you offer him closer job, he likely takes it

nobody claimed he was a gold glove.  Love to see him share DH duties tho...

Apparently the play in RF had a 99% catch probability.
