Dylan Covey: the reason everyone needs to chill out about young players and realize that development isn't linear and the results don't matter this year anyway.

That's exactly why I was amazed at how many people wanted to send him back to Oakland last year.

  • That state of mind where a series split against a good team is headline news here we come!!

  • So Covey is our best starter and Jace the best reliever. Before the year, I would have said that wouldn't be likely....in AAA

How can you review something there isn't even a rule for in regards to what a swing is

whatever....half the time the base umpires have their head up their ass and aren't even really paying attention.  it was a shit call regardless...

Awesome baseball. Every. 128 hitter should learn to bunt. Covey is our beast.

I think when Avi and Leury are back, Tilson should stay up and Engel should go to Charlotte, because Tilson gives us a guy with a different look- that is, a guy that doesn't strike out.

what the fuck Anderson, deserves an error

Play that should be made but understand why it's a hit

Covey's stuff not as sharp last two innings

If Tim wasn't trying to be so fancy that would have been an easy play

Covey needs a good defensive infield with his sinker. He's getting no help up the middle today.

Even an average one would be nice lately

Would be fine sitting Yo for a couple games and letting Rondon play. Kid has been fine when called on.

Hell of a job by Covey

Wasn't pretty but got out of it

Damn, Dylan Covey has big hairy balls.

Let him go back out? I know the pitch count isnt high but think I’d be content with 6 scoreless and leave it up to the pen

Retired 68 is going to look nice next to retired 56

Yes, we need to see what he can give us in later innings.

Smith isn't much of a hitter but he does give a good professional AB most times.

Smith is insane

Jose with the wheels

Nice insurance run and can definitely send Dylan back out there.

Hell yea!

Kinda calls into question the Sox' plan with their young staff having Narvaez as the primary backup to start the year.  Smith is competent defensively and any difference with Omar at the plate is nothing.

I thought Omar was better last year
