The Indians clearing salary of Encarnacion and Alonso means Santana and a bunch of hitters will come over from LAD for Kluber and free up RF for Harper.

We actually helped improve the Indians’ payroll glut...which really clears up next year when they can dump Kipnis.  

Palka was a better hitter than Alonso last year.

And he cost a bit less than $8 million.  
As I said, Hahn doesn't do salary dumps.

It's  a cynical move.

Why is it bad? Gives us a solid LH bat for 9M for possibly 2 years. Don't really think it is a big deal
