5/29 Sox vs Royals

Featured Replies

It is so White Sox to try to force a pitcher to go 6 innings even when it makes the game close.

I agree with Jason here. It wasn't intentional but this is what you do to yourself when you play beanball.

His changeup was good tonight thankfully. His slider was so bad that Benetti mistook it for a changeup a few times. Lopez owes Garcia a steak dinner.

Yeah, no doubt on both of those points. The change was baffling lefties on a few occasions. Namely Gordon to end the 5th. Not sure if anyone else caught him shaking his head after whiffing at the 2nd pitching as if to say "yeah, that was nasty". lol

His slider just kinda... spun... and didn't do anything. Command with his fastball was inconsistent.

I’m almost glad that it is readily apparent now how much of his solid performances last year were mostly mirage.

That wasn’t much different than his Twins start.

Leaving Lopez out there to die.

Fire Renteria.  He is garbage.

Can Ricky be fired now

Fuck off Ricky.

I mean, he had 88 pitches after the 5th and was going to see 5-6-7. I understand that. It's more so just having the bullpen sitting around as spectators until the damn thing had already begun unraveling.

Cool Ricky

This is terrible management.

Well I guess now we have a ballgame. Thanks Ricky

Who says Lopez lacks consistency?  He consistently has no command.

I despise RR...

118 pitches... I hope Lopez' arm stays rubber.

More evidence Ricky is trying to lose that's the only thing I can come up with!

118 pitches when he was done at 90... good god. Why? Just... why?

How could anyone have that terrible of a feel for the game and not see that his starter is done

How do we know coop isn't the one telling Ricky to leave him in there?

Ricky is the damn manager, he has the final say

Sorry Ricky is a nice guy.. but he is unintelligent.

I can here it in his dumb things with Jason... nice personality but it's just glaring.

I know some posters on here tried to warn us about Lopez peripherals and I wanted to believe but I think I’m off the Lopez train now.

Annnnnnnd I'm right back out again, thanks for clearing that up Reylo (assist to Ricky R)

Easily the worst managing decision(s) of Ricky's time here. Reynaldo had backed his way into an acceptable 5 inning start but there were already signs that he was  losing it at the end of 5. Nobody getting loose to start the next inning and we let Reynaldo throw more pitches than he has in his career (I presume) to give up 4 more runs for god knows what reason
