Why do so many think swinging at first pitch is a bad AB? He got a fastball up, and he was late. He was clearly looking for it. Shit happens.

It was a hanger higher than high.  I’m fine with him swinging first pitch, just need a better swing than that.

Or Alexei?

Nice play by Moncada cutting across Anderson, Timmy probably wouldn't have been able to throw him out from that spot.

I think it's just that Gio owns Cleveland and the Twins own him.

Jason....how does being the backup in high school of someone who is really good make you really good?

Really quality at bat for Grandal, my god. Stop pulling everything

Grandal is streaky and kinda one dimensional as a hitter but he still is a good hitter for a catcher due to his walks and decent pop.

He will strike out and hit .240-.250 but hit 25 homers and lots of walks.  The bottom line is still solid but that type of hitter will have some empty weeks.

Nice work Lucas!  Let’s score some fucking runs now.

Pretty much

Unless you played for King or Simeon in the late 80's or early 90's...

Btw, that new Rangers' stadium looks awfully antiseptic watching from t.v., and there's been very little offense so far there.

G-Elite-o is sure fun to have back.

Abreu missed those sliders by a foot. These righties look clueless

Counting down 3, 2, 1....before comment about Anderson and Giolito shouldn't be having so much fun in the dugout when their team is 1-4.

Disturbing trend of multiple strikeouts  against non-strikeout pitchers

We sucked against Plesac last year when just about everyone else beat up on him. The trend continues this year...

Six fucking Ks

Not even close on a lot of these.  Get Grandal out of the 4th spot if he’s in one of his slumps.

Watching Grandal with Crede's #24, makes one expect a bunch of flares into RF.

Indians' pitching has been simply dominant so far in the early season, in both their series so far.

We are clueless at the plate. We are in the typical White Sox hitting slump our team has at the start of just about every year that burries this team.

Just horrible looking at-bats for the most part

Some of these ABs aren't even competitive.

Finally get a decent performance from a starter and the bats go cold. Gonna be one of those seasons it seems.

Their #5 starter would be our #3.   That's the difference in the two staffs.   Plutko is essentially their #6/swingman.

And Bieber has really elevated his game since last year.   It helps to have tonight's home plate owner's strike zone....that's how he got 14 Opening Day.   7 strikeouts.     Not to mention Clevinger is REALLY nasty.   We're missing their two best and in danger of getting swept nevertheless.
