you can't pitch with two pitches.

Especially when can't command one if them.  This no breaking pitch tactic works real well for the opposing hitters.

  • The Sox starters are some of the most ill-prepared to begin a game I've ever seen. And that's a reflection on their useless pitching coach.

WTF are you talking about.   To be fair though, I ask that myself for about 80% of your posts

  • Jose Abreu
    Jose Abreu

He caught a foul ball off the net, making it a dead ball, and people are mad that he didn't immediately throw the ball in (again, it was a dead play)

Giolito just looked really uncomfortable.  Like something might be bothering him.

Out at home at least

I'm so done with Don Cooper.

Heads up abreu. What a fucking disaster.

Nice play, Jose!!

Let's get some runs!!!

Had a strange feeling we would play like shit against a team who hasn't played in forever. Why is McCann not catching Gio?

Good question...f'in Renteria sucks ass in managing a team, plain and simple.

I’m good with Grandal not catching Gio again. That pitch call to Fowler was awful.

Lazy catcher syndrome.

Dammit been posting in the wrong thread lol

If he's fucking hurt it would be the cherry on top of this shit.

Nothing was going their way until Fowler kindly gifted an out.

McCann should only catch Gio.  Don’t know why it is but it’s just the way it is.

First inning woes make me wonder about hasler more than cooper.

Can Gio start game 2 instead?

whole MLB coaching staff should be broomed IMO.

What's embarassing is how Badler was hustling so much (after 3 weeks off) when Anderson took his time and almost gifted them yet another run....NO SENSE OF IMMEDIACY.  YET AGAIN, here we are, coming out completely flat as a pancake.

If that’s the case you need to find an Ace because McCann is gone after the season...

Remember when folks were excited about playing a team that had been off for 2 weeks?

This season is really telling us Gio is not a true ace. And that is okay. Gives us time to find that guy.

A White Sox pitcher with zero command in the first inning.

I’ve seen this movie before, and the beginning sucks, the middle sucks, and the ending sucks.

At some point it’s no longer a coincidence and raises the question of what the fuck these guys are doing to prepare for starts.

the white sox are proving to be the team unready to play too often this year, regardless of circumstances.

Imagine seeing this post at any point from 2014-2019

It’s less about first inning woes and more just the lack of development from year to year for the pitchers.
