  • The Sox starters are some of the most ill-prepared to begin a game I've ever seen. And that's a reflection on their useless pitching coach.

WTF are you talking about.   To be fair though, I ask that myself for about 80% of your posts

He caught a foul ball off the net, making it a dead ball, and people are mad that he didn't immediately throw the ball in (again, it was a dead play)

Might as well go get Samardzija back....his awful 1st innings would fit in just fine with this squad.

Remember when folks were excited about playing a team that had been off for 2 weeks?

Now we're relegated to hoping and praying for a second game rainout so we don't get swept again in a DH.

2-6 at home, looking easily like 2-7.   How do you manage that?

Wainright looks fine

whole MLB coaching staff should be broomed IMO.

Whatever they decide, there needs to be a uniform approach across all levels. Not to say there isn’t - truthfully I have no idea - but that’s what successful orgs do.

This season is really telling us Gio is not a true ace. And that is okay. Gives us time to find that guy.

If it takes a personal catcher it’s sadly probably true.

Our lineup is gonna make look Wainwright look like he’s in his prime again arent we....

just get one back this inning come on.

Gawd I just can’t look at those hideous uniforms.

This is the polar opposite of that early-season series in 2006 when we just completely destroyed the Cardinals....already dreading the Field of Dreams but seems we won't have Central again, so no idea who the logical opponent would be in 2021.

And that catcher won't be here after this season. Gio has too many games since second half of last season where he just doesn't have it.

It looks like we came in thinking this would be a walk in the park

I’m good with Grandal not catching Gio again. That pitch call to Fowler was awful.

Then we should plan on trading Lucas in the offseason, because McCann won’t be around after this season to make him feel comfortable.

moncada helps him out, what a shit start.

My tv says that the pre game is supposed to be on right now.  Can we just restart at 1:00 please?

He’s a pitcher that throws a lot of breaking balls off the plate. He’s an older version of the Indians guys we’ve had no chance against.

Wainwright looks way more sharp than Gio.

pops up a shit breaking ball, this team isn't ready to play, AGAIN.

Moncada's groundout was hit at 109 apparently

Which team hasn’t played in 2 weeks?

Just like that game 1 against the Angels in 2005...Angels got in late, etc....but it ended up being the only game they lost that post season.

Sox go lazily 123.  They just don’t look ready to play after 2 days off.

Lol great scouting that first inning
