  • Abreu loves playing with zero pressure. He doesn't like the pressure Keuchel put on him to win. It's pathetic. The guy has never been on a winning team and it doesn't seem like he cares to be on one.

YES Abreu is part of the problem.  We signed him thinking/ hoping he could be the “Big Papi” for these young WSOX players.   Instead hes setting an example swinging at a bad 3-0 pitch and grounding ou

That 1st inning in game 1 and 5th inning in game 2 were two of the most demoralizing and disgusting innings I have seen as a Sox fan in awhile, but that may be the Star Chicken Shotgun IPA talking.

Whatever the fuck Giolito is doing to warm up before games, that needs to change.   He is back to 2018 wildness with the only thing saving him form complete free fall is his ability to get some strike outs now compared to 2018.   He's been brutal.  It's demoralizing to have your "ACE" out there put you in a quick 4-0 hole every other start out there.

I think everyone misunderstood what Abreu said

Yeah, certain reporters misquoted him and then ran with it out of context. Ricky’s quotes from tonight, on the other hand, are embarrassing

Well, that's what Ricky is/has been

Yeah, it's not as bad as it is being described. I don't think Abreu's comments were necessary, though.

Hey Kenny and Rick, do you know the difference?

Ricky's quote continued. A 4 or 5 game winning streak isn't nice? I beg to differ. Ricky is just waiting for that 10-12 game winning streak. That is an EXTREMELY good winning streak, and an unreasonable expectation. What the hell is he even saying here? Ricky is a dolt.

Another cooking analogy.  He doesn’t have a competitive bone in his body. Just a high-paid babysitter.

He sounds like a terrible politician (in general, not referring to anyone in particular).
“If we had a 10 game winning streak, I bet there would be a lot of smiles”? I mean yeah, of course, but we don’t have a winning streak. I bet there would be even more smiles if we win the World Series, but none of these analogies matter, you just got swept by a team that hadn’t played in weeks

Statements like that are only made when your owner is Jerry reinsdorf. Mark Cuban would fire this dumbass tomorrow

Sounds like Jim Boylen.

Someone should check how many 4 game winning streaks Ricky has had since he came in. Guaranteed it's in the single digits.

What is it with Reinsdorf run teams and picking absolutely horrible managers? Aside from Phil Jackson, it's flat out embarrassing. Bevington, Ventura, Renteria, Del Negro, Floyd, Boylen. Maybe Hoiberg.

Every single word in this quote speaks to me on how Renteria is unfit to manage a drive-thru, much less a professional sports team.

Is it just me or is this whole damn team swinging through alot of fastballs right down the middle of the plate lately?   Are they just in between as Hawk used to like to say?

Today is about as embarrassing as it gets......this team has no fire at all. Ricky is not the guy to take this team to next level. His oh well attitude is a huge part of the problem.

Batting Abreu cleanup against righties is a black hole in the middle of the lineup. He is NOTHING against righties. This removes any protection from Eloy at the same time.

I’ve found that people will focus and concentrate when faced with losing life, jobs, stability, etc.

If the Sox miss the playoffs in a season when 8 teams in the AL qualify, Hahn should be fired.

Best post from you all day Jack.

Same show for going on 8 years.

The 3 guys in front of him today had no hits.

Is Todd Steverson available?

I wear my emotions on my sleeve during gamethreads. I go full meathead. It is what it is.

Just realize that all of my negative posts are about frustration and everyone will get it.
