Doesn't really make sense to me that Luis Robert is batting 7th. Shouldn't he be higher? he's amazing

They still have Grandal hitting at the top of the order.

Def ahead of Edwin. And for the time being, move Grandal down between Robert and Edwin.

McCann should probably catch Lopez.  Grandal should probably DH and drop out of the 3 spot.  Robert needs to be higher, it’s time.  Moncada is back at least.

Lopez is pitching for his spot in the rotation and on the roster.  Let’s hope he find some level of focus or this will be an ugly one.  Unless the offense magically out slugs the opposition...

Heard Steve Stone on the Score this afternoon.  Basically said what we all think:  tonight is the end of the road for Lopez.  If he doesn't have a good start, it'll probably be his last one.

Yep. He's had 2+ full years (hard to count this year) and he hasn't improved.

Rodon should be on a short leash as well.

At this point we shouldn't care about lefty righty.

Tim

Moncada

Abreu

Eloy

Robert

Grandal

EE

Mazara

Madrigal

Lopez is mop-up man and that is where we are with him. Rodon is a budding non-tender. Gonzalez has been a waste of money. Next.

Given the hype from organization about his return, it doesn't seem like it.

Well those are our 3 options, so hopefully one of them can eat up 6 or so starts the rest of the season.

Would rather see McCann and Grandal in today (and most days).

Would like this for a regular lineup

  1. Tim Anderson SS
  2. Yoan Moncada 3B
  3. Jose Abreu 1B
  4. Eloy Jimenez LF
  5. Yasmani Grandal DH / C
  6. Luis Robert CF
  7. James McCann C / DH (split DH w/ Edwin)
  8. Nomar Mazara / Adam Engel RF
  9. Nick Madrigal 2B

Lost in everything last night was a quote from Keuchel about Rodon possibly being a reliever

Why does Ricky keep batting Yasmani so high? Putting together the best possible line up isn't as hard as Ricky makes it seem. Abreu and Jimenez should be batting 3 or 4.

Wait, McCann is hitting .333 lifetime vs Berrios with 4 homers and he isn't playing? Is that true?

YUP. Saw that last night and was hoping he would at least be DH today....

Also Grandal .000 (0-4) against him and EE .200 (4-20). THANKS RICKY

Should've had Grandal DH and McCann at C. I have muuuch more confidence that Grandal will snap out of it before Encarnacion's sorry ass

Don't think they'll do that until we get a 3rd catcher back up

Are you surprised Ricky sat him?

8-24 with 4 homers is enough of a sample size to get penciled into the line up. That said, b****ing about the line up usually means a lot of runs scored.
