  • Honestly I’m less upset with the result than the process (going to Ruiz).  If Foster allows the homer, at least it was your best reliever against lefties.  This is the second game this year we let a p

It’s very possible for Indians to pass the Sox, as they will have tiebreak. Could be one up on them after series and they get the Pirates.

It would suck going into the playoffs that cold but as I said they will still be in the playoffs.

Didn't Beckham have a terrible 0fer when his career began?

I think we stopped trying after we beat Twins 3 of 4

Can you imagine if we didn't win game 4 of that series?

4D chess tanking to avoid the Yankees.

That is not very good chess playing because by tanking we ending up getting the Yankees first round.

Mazara has the 4th highest hard hit rate on the team? How is that possible?

ask the worms, if you can find any.

He also has a super low launch angle so all his hard hit balls are on the ground.

A 2-8 finish  and easy out in the playoffs could cost RR his job

this is beginning of the season frustrating, maybe Keuchel should call them out again

Amazing what a guy just pounding the strike zone can do.  He can go 5 and not throw 50 pitches.  Our "starter" will have at least 50 through 3.

Don’t know about stopped trying, but something definitely feels different.  Be it lack of focus or intensity or collectively reeling after getting beaten up in Cincinnati.

I really miss Tigers and Royals pitching

Anderson is now giving away at bats.  How does a team just fall apart so easily.

The lineup was struggling for a bit, but Timmy/Abreu/Eloy were carrying it. Ricky unwilling to shake things up isn’t helping. Why would you bat Yoan in between your two hottest hitters?

youth, lack of leadership from the manager.

Before Tim got real hot recently, he was constantly giving away ABs for about a good week. It'll happen to him here or there. I feel like he's pressing a lot right now. Maybe the batting title and the rest of the lineup not hitting is affecting him.

Needs to see some lefties. Problem is they’re getting 3 of the top 10 righties in baseball the next 3 games.

We sure walk the 9 hitter a lot.

Sox pitching has been walking the 9 hitter far too often

The only thing i can think of is that there is a organizational mindset that they are trying to formulate.  That the results of this season are gravy.  Keep things simple and get the work in and see what happens.  The young guys are getting experience and they can see what they have next year.

There really is no justification for some of the things we have seen.

Mazara hits grounders to the right side liners and fly balls to left.
