You local guys won't realize this, but for us out of towners ESPN's cameras use a slightly different camera location and angle on the plate, and it's weirdly noticeable compared to the normal home broadcast. Little quirky anachronism that doesn't make it seem like a 'home' broadcast. (Doesn't help that ESPN is going to be up the cubs' ass all night).

Grandal just swings an invisible bat so often. No idea how he misses some of the pitches he swings at.

Cool Angel Hernandez is at 1B tonight. Can't wait for him to call the game tomorrow!

what's colder than the other side of the pillow?

How can that idiot make a proper fair/foul call on a grounder from the angle he is at?

Cease clearly as a master of control gets the bottom of the zone respect from the umps.

This game-thread seems pretty dead for a Cubs / Sox game with playoff seeding implications on the line.

Fair enough.  I just love pummeling the Cubs and I think this series is what will get us back on track heading into the playoffs.

Cubs won't trade him because his value will be as low as ever, but would you trade for Schwarber to be the DH moving forward, and if yes, what would you give up?

Cease is consistently hitting 98/99

Lester will love him because he'll get 5" off of the outside corner

Can’t do that.

Just ridiculous pitch calling

hr/fb regression, nice.

faster fastball tonight...still no movement.

Maybe don’t throw the same pitch 3 times.

Nobody, because the Sox have too many even if Parrot doesn’t return. Would consider in LF.

Schwarber wakes up against the Sox of course.

That had the zone
